I gotta go find that thread and thank the person who recommended this story. It's been a long time since I was so enthralled in a story that I read until the sun came up! (#bless the long weekend) I also think I was constantly at least teary eyed throughout the entire story (and sometimes ballin' so hard that a face wash was needed).
Can't thank you enough for this amazing gem of a story. I really enjoyed how the story flowed, nothing was too predictable or too cliche - it was so well written!

Why. Hermione granger, you’re more afraid of losing your friends than you are of draco when he is on his deathbed. I’ll give a few more chapter to see if you redeem yourself. Hermione is known to be strong and protective of her loved ones even in adversity. She has not fight for draco even once, only being with him when it is convenient.

Mione when are you such a pushoverstand up for him, for your thoughts. Not doing anything or saying anything meant you picked a side. Harry is doing a better job of trusting him when draco has unfailingly saved her so many times in the war regardless of his position.

I hope she comes around and be the person who sacrifice for him.

This was such a powerful chapter. A beautiful characterisation of draco and hermione. Their past selves and their current selves, in between in a big war, current illness and lots of uncertain emotions that does not have a place yet. Incredibly written

god, it's not only Hermione who's OOC, it's Neville and Harry as well. Neville acting like there was no 7th year and he didn't become the badass Hogwarts Rebellion leader. And Harry, brushing off concerns over Malfoy's fate. Like he's in 6th year again. Like he doesn't know Lucius was disgraced and didn't even have a wand. Like he didn't see Bella tried to kill Draco. Like this was all school brawl and not an act of heroism. Right, you are a talented writer, but you should simply name these characters differently, so the readers don't get confused

You know, you are definitely talented and I enjoy reading your story, but from now on I will just have to squint and imagine someone else when you say 'Hermione'. Because it's definitely not her. She would never be so unfair. What you are describing is someone like Lily Evans, haughty and vindictive and dismissive of friends who have expired their usefullness to her.
Real Hermione would have found the guts to testify for Draco even for the slightest of his good deeds like in canon. Here you have him saving her life, than saving Harry at a huge risk to his own life... and yet she keeps mum to Hestia and her friends. That's not Hermione

I don't understand why she never said something about all the good things he did even without explaining their relationship or even to try to find a solution and help his parents againts informations or something...

but I guess without it no story.

I really like the flash back and how you don't give all the key to understand what is happening and why.
