I love the switching of the assumed roles. Astrid isn't the "save me" damsel being "owned" by the man in the story. She's doing the owning, because she's a boss. And Hiccup knows it.

I'm glad you posted this here. Finding things on tumblr is like...trying to find something amidst a lot of other things...with a search option that doesn't work all the time...I'm sure I could have thought of a better metaphor, but it's late and I'm tired. Still excited for this!

Do you plan on including Toothless? I'm assuming you already have plans, but I think it would be really interesting that if you were to include him, rather than Hiccup meeting him later on, he already being a secret of Hiccup's and possibly be following the caravan like the loyal friend that he is. It would be an interesting card for Hiccup to hold; a dragon, nay, a *Night Fury*, as a best friend, and could make it all very interesting. I dunno, just a thought. :)

I can easily see a revolt in the future that will attempt to put the prince on the throne to right the wrongs of the Yorvani empire. All empires like this one have fallen to the people they tried to conquer, it happens continually throughout history, the empire gets cocky thinking its in the right then it all comes crashing down. HARD.

I really liked the interaction between Hiccup and the girls. I hoep he will be able to make them see that their actions are still not as rightful as they think. But whatever, I hope you'll update soon!

Love story's like this where the mc in this case hiccup is someone else's property.
This actually reminds me of an anime where the mc owns a small country but the king forces him to go to war and he's an amazing archer so he tries to take out a war maiden but she has the power to control wind and so his arrow never reaches her and she took him prisoner. After he's taken prisoner she makes his ransom way to high on purpose because she doesn't want them to be able to get him back and when they fail to pay the ransom he permanently becomes her property of war. And when the king attacks his small country he tries to go protect it but since she owns him she doesn't want him to go unless she gets something I return so she gets his land as a result of helping him with her army. There's also this one soldier that disrespect's him and you resend not to like him and after he was proven wrong he shaved his head and became one of my favorite characters.
It's called Lord Marksmen and vanadis. It's really good.

Hmmmm... Interesting... I like how Astrid's all honourable and respectful. I don't think I can handle reverse rape. Not between those two.
