![]() ![]() ![]() Um... so I know it's been almost five years... But I don't suppose I could convince you to come back and finish this? |
![]() ![]() ![]() There’s no such thing as a Black Panther. The real name is Black leopard. |
![]() ![]() I know it's been four years but I hope one day you come BACK. This is a good story |
![]() ![]() ![]() I was curious about this pairing and I saw your story and read it. I love the concept of Shere Khan raising Mowgli and I do hope you continue this fic. |
![]() ![]() I know it's been 2 years but I really loved this story! Could you please return? |
![]() ![]() ![]() good |
![]() ![]() Please update |
![]() ![]() I started reading this out of curiosity after reading some of your other works. I hadn't read any other jungle book fiction, but I got to say, now I want to. I really like this story. It's so far promising and I would love to see where it goes. I know I like your writing style because of your other work and I'm not disappointed with this one. Hope you'll continue it soon. Kind regards |
![]() ![]() ![]() And apparently, after such a long drought, the rain just couldn't help itself and had to start pushing things along. Mowgli's thoughts about the incoming rain seem true enough to his character, while also conveying new touches that surely come with the father he got in this universe. The reactions of the animals around him as the rain arrived also were a nice touch. Shere Khan's response to the rain comes across as a little comic and unusually scaredy from him, but then again things like 'bravery only gets you so far', 'discretion is the best part of valour', and 'it's better to be cowardly and alive than brave and dead' have a grain of truth in them. Also, it's not as if a tiger can actually do anything about floods. The recurrence of thoughts on crocodiles, as well as their brief appearances, are curious, and make one wonder if said reptiles will have a prominent role here. Given that Kipling's Mowgli is said to have fought a crocodile once, the thought isn't far fetched. Whether crocodiles play more ofa role or not, though, the stage seems set for Mowgli and Grey to meet. One wonders how their first meeting will go, and especially what the parents' reactions to one another will be. All in all, this story remains really interesting, and I still look forward to more. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is good! Do you plan on continuing it? |
![]() ![]() ![]() This entire concept is really fascinating and I can't wait to see where you take it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for having decided to continue this story. I liked reading about Shere Khan's attempt to return Mowgli to the man village, as well as him ultimately deciding to raise him. The nod about tigers not usually being fatherly was a good touch, and the 'jungle's oddity' explaining why Shere Khan is an exception works. I wonder how and if that scene at the man village will play out later. It's interesting to read more about the interactions between Bagheera and the pack without Mowgli, as most of what we get involving them relates to Bagheera having been the one who brought them Mowgli. That scene was a nice touch that conveyed well how Bagheera would trust the pack enough to, in another reality, give them the man cub. And Shere Khan certainly made his move to an interesting place, for reasons that are quite understandable. I liked the allusions to the crocodiles, and like with the man village, I wonder if they will play more of a role down the line. All in all, the follow-up is just as interesting as the beginning was, and I keep looking forward to more. |
![]() ![]() Wow. This just got very exciting. Update soon! Cliffhangers just kill me... |
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm glad to hear that you've decided to continue and honestly surprised to hear that it was not supposed to be. Aside for the lack of a "complete," marker, the first chapter just didn't feel finished. So, things that I like. First, the occasional dips into second person are really fun. Second, I liked the explanation for tiger paternal instincts and why Shere Khan couldn't leave him behind. Also, I am very curious about "nathoo." I might not have read the book in years, but I do recognize that name and am eager to see how you will use it. Finally, the interactions of Bagheera and the cubs are adorable; your characterization of him is pulled off very well. Thanks for writing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Really loving this fic so far. It's nice to see a good Shere Khan as not many people do it. Also I'm glad that you had Baggy and Khan being friends as cubs. Two small points. 1: you spelt tiger as tyger. 2: You said Rama was Akela's mate. Both Rama and Akela are males. Not sure if you ment to do it like that but I thought I'd let you know. |
