What a fantastic story. I never read triads, rarely read Dramione, yet I was engrossed in this one from the first chapter and read it straight through.

I like the call to kill off Draco’s parents prior to the story opening. One of my issues with most Draco redemption fics, especially those where he is paired with Hermione, is that too many fall into one of two categories- I’m expected to believe they were basically good people capable of embracing Hermione later in life (never gonna happen) or Draco has to renounce his parents in favor of his intended/new beliefs. I like this third option of killing them off and letting him keep his good memories, because of course he’d have some.

I like to your choice to give Hermione some permanent damage from the extended torture. I always roll my eyes a bit when characters are Crucioed within inches of their lives and then are running around fine the next day.

This was just really well done, and I am favoriting to read again at some future point. Thanks for writing it!
