Reviews for A Gryffindor Tried and True |

![]() ![]() ![]() Awesome job! I love that you focused on numerous characters and gave everyone their spot in the limelight. This was a very unique and dramatic story, so great job all around. Keep up the great work and good luck with future writing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was great. Your Neville really lines up with Neville's character in book seven. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh thank god it's over! Man no offense but those chapters were unnecessary; though I'm grateful for the awesome story. Still some of those chapters could have been combined... Wait scratch that, that would have been harder and longer more boring reading. Don't take offense though, it was like that only because I tried to endure the whole story in a series of three hours; didn't happen mind you but that was a lot of things to process in on day/night so forgive me if I seem rude. I loved the fic though; finally an arc, and author, that gives me what I want! A sound round about fic. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I am speechless. I really mean it when I say that this is the BEST story I have ever read till now. Thanks Meercat for this story. Your the best! |
![]() ![]() Thank you for the great story. Loved reading about Neville finding his courage. Liked all your supporting charaters. Would like to know what happened to Draco, daddy dearest would not be happy with him. Would also like to see what happened to the Dursleys. Thank you again for a great read. Melisa |
![]() ![]() ![]() That was amazing! You were right about Neville too, great job at that, I didn't ever think that'd he'd be that important! You really picked up on Jo's foreshadowing! |
![]() ![]() ![]() great story |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow! I love this! Neville's always been one of my favorite characters, and I hate it when authors put him down! This was truly a fantastic plot. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wonderful story. I just started reading it yesterday, and didn't want to stop. Needless to say, I nearly cried when my power went out due to Irene, I had to keep bugging my mom to use her smart phone just so I could finish the story :( I loved the banter that you included between Sev, Neville, and Hermione (especially the part where they were making fun of her falling on the ice lol). And poor Sevvy practically had a stroke in the end when he awarded points to Mione and Nev. BTW, Draco's trick on the Dursley's was truly priceless XD |
![]() ![]() Love this story! Your Neville is awesome, I like how Draco has changed his mind about the Death Eaters, and Ron and Draco coming to an understanding and partnership is awesome. Well written. Great read. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Ah this was BRILLIANT! :D This bit made me laugh SO much: "Professor Snape?" The largest of the three lumps strained against the confining foliage. A dirty, scratched, fire-reddened hand burst through to wave in the free air of the greenhouse. A voice, muffled and barely discernable, demanded, "Get me out of this confounded greenery!" And the bit about Snape awarding points at the end. Loved it all, great job! :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() This was an entertaining read! Go Nev! Loved Snape choking over awarding the Gryffindors points in the end. I don't know why, but for some reason, the image of Snape's sock-clad feet sticking out the end of a too-small bed made me giggle. Congrats on a well-written story. Thanks for sharing this with us! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Loved this story! It was brilliant. My favorite part was when Snape and Neville jumped the beds and Neville said -paraphrasing- "you know, we could have just floated across" and Snape makes his comment about hindsight. That just cracked me up. Glad you took the time and effort to finish it. :) |
![]() ![]() ![]() i liked this story very much! there aren't a lot of stories out there where Neville plays such a major roll. i liked that he was the one who inadvertently found a possible cure for his parents. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hi, thanks for writing this story, I really enjoyed reading it. At first I wasn't too sure if it was a story that I'd enjoy but I'm glad I stuck with it as it was well worth a read! xxx |
