I do think this is unironically my favorite DR fanfic ever written. Both Chiaki and Kuzuru were perfectly written in ways that adhered to their characters while really making them dynamic and fleshed out. I think the research you did for Chiaki's recovery really bolstered the story, as you really get the nitty gritty of how Kamakura is helping her and not just doing vague talent magic. Additionally I like thay you never make her a damsel, she's always active and doing her best to see her goal to the end. Additionally, Izuru properly feels like he's got depth to him that isn't just going "Ugh, bored", you really see how he views the world and how Chiaki challenged it. Also, I like how you didn't feel the need to stuff Chiaki in major Future arc or DR2 story for the sake of it, letting her arc be that of recovery is so much more impactful. Anyways, I hope you're doing well after all this time, thank you again for writing this!

Such a Beautiful story, giving a second chance to one of our favorite characters and doing it in such a realistic way. I love the fact that you didnt try to fix everything and save everyone but made it so that some people died, with the characters growing past their deaths but never forgetting them. This alternate universe… its… just beautiful.
