I L-O-V-E-D this! Eeeeeee Percy and Audrey are so PERFECT! I love how they're just at that getting-to-know you stage. Percy's drunken honesty is so wonderfully refreshing, and Audrey's upbringing was super interesting to learn about. I love how you write these very pureblood-y things like "four children in every Sprayberry family" and "let's ignore the Death Eaters in the Ministry." And I love that both Percy and Audrey have familial conflict-that looks like it could be a major plot point! The ending scene with Bill was so beautiful. I could FEEL his love for Fleur.

Also, can we just take a moment to acknowledge that Percy is the world's funniest drunk? xD

Favorite part: basically the entire conversation between Percy and Audrey in her bedroom, specifically the drunk part and how well you switch between humor and seriousness. The dialogue is all so natural, and I love seeing them have a meaningful conversation and get to know each other. I equally love seeing them flirt, though, and my favorite line in this chapter is probably "Okay, how's this? I think you are completely mental, but I like the way you smile when you flirt with me. I want to kiss you, but I'm not going to do it tonight" - Percy is SO matter of fact about it, so how is it such a big turn on? haha

I saw your story on Alohaemora's recommendation and I just had to take a look! I truly love what you've done here. I don't think I've ever read a story where Percy met Audrey before the war ended, so this is a very unique find. I'm looking forward to seeing how Percy's estrangement comes to an end and what role Audrey will play in that. There is a lot of grey area surrounding the events of the war since we only saw it from Harry's perspective and he had to pretty much vanish off the face of the Earth. i can't wait to see how you tie everything together!

Excellent chapter- you have a knack for subtle character development! I enjoyed hearing more about Audrey's backstory. The idea of her being a much younger, unexpected surprise to her parents fits right in with her rebellious personality. Percy was great here too. I look forward to next Tuesday

Also, OH MY GOD, I adored this chapter. Hurray for relationship development! There is just so much to love here, between Percy's adorable drunkenness (I remember that from 'Pictures of You.' XD) and Audrey's candor. So, let's get started.

Favorites: Audrey reflecting on the dangers of the war and how she'd never really thought about how much was at stake (Seeing the books through the eyes of one of the most reckless/impulsive characters, we sometimes forget that not everyone's first instinct is to run straight at the troll and poke their wand in its nose - and I wish I meant that figuratively. XD), the moment when Audrey takes Percy's hands (I was holding my breath, it was so good.), the tense relationship between Audrey and her mother (and how the Sprayberrys prefer to turn a blind eye to the Death Eaters in the Ministry - they certainly aren't the only ones. We don't often see much of that angle.), Percy's illuminating thoughts under the bed (HAHAH, I love when he finds the romance novels. And how he knows she's the youngest because he's been around Ginny - great comparison!).

Percy pompously defending the Ministry, Audrey knowing Penelope and calling her "Queen of the Common Room" (That was just perfect!), "At least not tonight." (If I was drinking something, I would've spit it out! Oh my God, priceless!), Percy enjoying the thrill of breaking into Umbridge's office, Percy logically thinking about how to count freckles ("We could divide my skin into fields." I will never get over how good your characterization of Percy is.).

Percy resisting Audrey (That made me very happy, not going to lie. Especially when he told her his reasoning.), "I'm not your sister." / "You'll hear no argument from me there." (*snorts with laughter*), Audrey's backstory about being the unwanted fifth child (Very illuminating!), Percy saying he knew he was in the wrong as soon as he left (Definitely agree with you there.), Audrey admitting that she is spoiled, "They aren't what I want them to be either.", Percy tucking her hair behind her ear, Audrey fainting when she sees blood (It's nice to see that that exists in the Wizarding world too! But now, that makes me wonder - will she be at the Battle?).

Bill loving Fleur's wifeliness (I love that even in the midst of a war, you can show normalcy through things like tending to a garden.), Bill knowing how to take care of himself (I really LOVE Bill's POV - it's one of my favorites to both read and write.), "What Fleur didn't know about Percy was one word from Bill and Percy would drop it." (Yes.), BILL CATCHING PERCY IN THE SAME ROBES (Bahahahaha, and Audrey's too-innocent smile was a great detail.), "Percy responded pompously, as if the two of them were not, in fact, purebloods." (Seriously, I just love your Bill.), Percy giving Bill and Fleur privacy, and of course, Percy's last two lines. They let me finish the chapter with a smile and a lot of hope! I'm very excited for next week! :)

Another great chapter. Loved seeing Percy and Audrey's first meeting and conversation. Can't wait for more!

Great chapter- I enjoyed Audrey's backstory and how taken Percy is by her. The Bill/Fleur love scene was great, very emotional. And the tension about Fleur's plan was realistic and well-done. Excited for what is yet to come.

Hi! I've seen your penname pop up in a lot of places lately! And I saw this story and I just KNEW I was going to get hooked. And I am. I'm so, so excited for this! I really like your portrayal of Fleur and Percy in particular here, because so often they are portrayed as very onesided in fics and that's a pet peeve of mine. In your story, that certainly isn't the case! I look forward to seeing what's yet to come!

Remind me where we are in time-it's early September, right? The announcement about the Muggle-born Registration Commision and Snape as Headmaster was the last day or two of August, if I remember correctly...

There were so many things I liked in this chapter :) Longer winter nights meaning more hours of suffering at the full moon-GREAT detail, I never thought of that. Bill thinking everything's easier when Fleur is near *heart eyes* Their lovemaking-so tender, so ... I don't want to say "ordinary" because you'll think I mean "boring," and I don't. Just ... natural. That's the word. The care she shows for him, the way he lets her and doesn't try to hide-umph. Intimate in the best sense of the word.

Percy and Oliver bromance! I /love/ the way you write these two together. It reminds me Percy is a Real Boy, not just a stuck-up Ministry-loving prat. I enjoyed seeing the extra details about the night Dougal and Fergus died, especially how Catriona clung to Oliver. That was very sweet. Loved Oliver teasing Percy about the Patronus, but Percy not having a memory strong enough to conjure one-*tears up*

Eee, Audrey had a schoolgirl crush on Percy! I loved her boldness and obvious flirting, and Percy's reaction to it added some much-needed humor to this very serious scene. But what I liked most about this part was Bill and Fleur's argument and how much it shows about their relationship. It's a grown-up fight, not a petty one, and they both have good points. And they're both coming from a place of caring for others, not selfishness. You can tell they're equals in their relationship despite their age difference, and I absolutely love that-both the way Fleur isn't afraid to stand up to Bill (despite her sneakiness) and the way he respects her and her opinion. Then at the end-the little sensual moment, Fleur's physical response, Bill's intellectual response to her defense. You're going to have me shipping these two like FedEx before the end of this!
