I was really pleasantly surprised by this. I trawl a lot - and I mean a LOT - of Daredevil/Avengers crossovers and I don't know why it took me so long to find this one.

It's a great scenario, based on a sensible premise. Of course Clint's family would become a target, and if Daredevil had stumbled across a kidnapping attempt, of course he'd intervene. And no, the Avengers would never ever just let it go. Stark has a chronic poke-it-with-a-stick disorder and Clint & Natasha both have a weird code of honour that debts be repaid.

I also liked that you left the Accords ambiguous, with no clear right or wrong side. Both sides firmly believe they did the right thing - with the possible exception of Natasha, who excels at walking the fine grey line. It was just some great characterisation, from little one-liners like Natasha planning to shoot Clint in the head when she thought he was going to kill a mother and child, to Matt deliberately playing the people spying on him like fish on a line.

Really great crossover and I hope to oneday see more of it when you get round to it.

This is actually pretty interesting. I look forward to the eventual conversations between Matt and the Avengers, particularly Tony, Natasha and Barton. Steve should also be interesting. I hope you update soon.

This is SO GOOD! I can't WAIT to read more! This is the most realistic, angsty daredevil fic that includes the avengers that I've EVER read. Having it after the Sokovia Accords adds a nice touch, as well as the Barton family! This is wonderfully written and I hope to see you update in the future! Kudos!

Great crossover so far! I would love to read more of this. Hopefully Tony will find and recruit Matt and they can help solve each other's problems, with many fun encounters along the way!

But I forgive you because that story with the mugger is kinda hilarious.

But, aww at Matt trying to make sure the sewer tunnels are safe for them. "No one wanted his help as a lawyer anymore." Rip my heart out while you're at it too why don't you?!

"The child smelled like sugary cereal, crayons, alcohol, iodine, and a dozen other hospital cleaners." Having read this story already and therefore knowing how the kidnappers lured them in, this is a really cool detail to catch on the re-read.

“one of their captors had shot Laura in the arm to put an end to the first tantrum.” I'd remembered that Laura was shot, but I somehow forgot it happening like this. Fucking Hell that's terrifying. D:

Ouch on that pinkeye quote. Yeah. Not really what you hoped Laura, but please don't blame yourself. :(

I may have just recently binge watched all of Daredevil thanks to this story and now its basically consumed my entire soul.

And it's also awesome cause now I get to re-read this story with a new perspective. :D

I am a little bit tipsy right now though, so bear with me. Lord knows, I usually have enough trouble finding the words to express myself when I'm 100% sober. So this might be a bit of a trainwreck. xD

I adore this story. Your Matt is wonderful, and your Tony is spot on. I also really like where you're going with this; Matt playing cat and mouse with Tony sounds very interesting, though I'm unsure how the roommate thing you described in your summary will happen. Also, your writing is fantastic. Great pacing and excellent dialogue. Well done! I seriously cannot wait for more.
