This is an excellent story. Has it been completed anywhere else? The author mentioned 'paid subscribers', have they been able to access the complete story? If so, where can I buy it? Many thanks.

Bestyyy, you are 100% right. I really don't understand why so many fanfiction authors wants to put Elizabeth down, like if she is not enough lady like, pretty enough, she is more like a Brat than the sensible smart girl Austen created and many other things. Sometimes they even put her as plain. Jane Austen created a beautiful, smart woman, she even considered Elizabeth as the most delightful creature that had appeared in the print. So why they want to put her as a plain Jane, a ton boy who had not a clue to be a lady. Even Darcy in the original book said just the two elders if the Bennet sister had decorum.

Lord Carbeck is an asshole. Darcy should stop being a bastard towards Elizabeth.
All reviews are irrelevant when you've abandoned the story

Poor Elizabeth, the author portrays her as isolated and helpless, especially Darcy, who is like a jerk when facing her, but has no principles towards his sister, causing him to be very fragmented and almost like a schizophrenic. In the novel, Elizabeth is a fully qualified lady, with elegant and impeccable behavior. In short, she is a very feminine person, but her thoughts and spirit are stronger than those of her male contemporaries. But the author seems to have a very shallow understanding, poor writing skills, and a rather stereotypical impression, thinking that her avant-garde thinking should be a tomboy. Regarding Elizabeth's appearance, in the original work, only two people mentioned her flaws - Darcy, who was extremely arrogant in the early stages, and Caroline, who treated her as a rival and was very jealous of her. These two views are obviously unfair, but the author seems to completely believe in this unfair view and always wants to describe her various unattractive aspects. However, when describing the fictional ladies, the author can not hesitate to write that they are beautiful. Elizabeth is the most beautiful girl in the original work besides Jane. Even Caroline reluctantly said that Elizabeth is recognized as a beauty, but the author has fabricated so many ladies who look better than her, which is completely different from the original work. Contrary, if I were to put it bluntly, It is an excuse for Darcy's foolish belief that Elizabeth was not beautiful in the early stage, but this is completely unfair to Elizabeth. I believe Jane Austen herself would never agree that Elizabeth, whom she considers very beautiful, is only considered ordinary beauty in the eyes of others.

I’m not gonna lie, my favorite part of this story is rhe Miura family who help Elizabeth create her stunning looks. Everything else is confusing and I don’t love stories where Darcy is deliberately cruel to Elizabeth while she cringes and hides from him. I just don’t like that nothing is explained and there will never be any closure on this sad tale. I’m assuming the plan was for them to reconcile and come to understand one another at some point but I can’t see it.

You know what, this author writes well, I think it’s just my personal distaste for stories where an otherwise lost and confused wife is censured for enjoying the marriage bed and then is literally dehumanized and made into a receptacle waiting to be impregnated. I know it wasn’t on purpose from Darcy’s side but I don’t have it in me to forgive a male lead who does that, especially repeatedly.

It’s devastating to read and I know women not even 50 years ago in the US and still in many places now had no options and were literally property given from a father to her husband. But it makes me sick and it is compounded with deliberate cruelty and objectification. There is no room in my heart to forgive and consider the perpetrator of such acts an acceptable male romantic lead. These poor women had and have no choice but to stay tied to their abusers and I don’t want to read about Mr. Darcy, one of history’s most romantic characters as the type of man who would act in this way. Why does Elizabeth not burn him and his infantilization and condescension to the ground? She just cringes away and tries to hold her tongue. It’s perhaps anachronistic but I can’t like it.

None of this is the fault of the author, it’s not to my personal tastemy personal tastes. and
