Nice. I'm really looking forward to the bot where the rest of the galaxy realizes just how much they've managed to screw themselves over. This Liara comes across as being a bit more gullible than her canon self, but with the pressure of several civilizations trying to tell her that what she saw was wrong i can see how it would happen. Peer pressure is a terrible thing to be subjected to after all. I look forward to her wake up moment as well.

Man, when i started reading this I thought my interest would patter out after the first half of the second chapter. But it didn't ! I'm honestly thrilled readying it. You should see if you can include reaper Shepard in the next one! So excited to see this go on! Lol and as you say it's good to be human

I thoroughly enjoyed your Mass Effect: Synthesis - it was a unique take on the story and one which I fully appreciated. Now I see you are taking another unique approach, once again with a good structure, descriptions and a fabulous plotline. I eagerly look forward to the next installation of this fanfic!

is the plan to create enough human class reaper ships to fight the reapers themselves?

Well, grimdark and awesomeness.
Not sure what to say about humanity's plot. I suppose it's somewhat logical, they either did this - buy themselves time - or get exterminated by one side or the other, but it doesn't fly in the goal of the Reapers. I see humanity hopes they'll be used to reinforce the Reapers' reproduction cycle indefinitely... which won't work because the Reapers are there to specifically stop races from being destroyed by AIs and humanity has shown that it's ready, willing and able to create or modify AI whenever they get the chance to do so, so on that front they'll get exterminated anyway.
But if it's anything like Synthesis, I sense spanners in their perfect plans. I'm still iffy on the Council's OOCness, and the lack of reactions by their voters. It worked in Synthesis because what the Council did there was off the books and they were already indoctrinated. In this case however, the Galaxy has no explanation for the sheer willingness to allow slaughter that I'm pretty sure the canon Galaxy would never go for.

As always, great writing and awesome plot.
However, my suspense of disbelief was broken at the Citadel outright declaring war on humanity... for what exactly? For "lies"? Saren was obviously an insane genocidal maniac (from the Galaxy's POV). About the Reapers? So what? A turian was insane, a human was insane... nobody see the double standard there?
That makes absolutely no sense. It's not like humanity killed the council, it was an insane turian Specter. The asari wouldn't blunt their military when they're trembling of even disturbing the Terminus. And an outright genocidal war? That asari councilor would have been lynched by their webocracy a second after agreeing to it. The rachni, krogan were clear and present dangers, the quarians were isolationists who the Council doesn't want in their hair and that's it - the Council loses nothing by pretending to not see the quarians slowly going extinct. Hell they let the geth on their doorstep even as they're terrified of AI as long as they don't get out of their nebula. NEBULA.
Dislodging a race with tens of colonies or more as a vanity project seems insane. This requires A LOT of OOC from the asari, since war is the LAST thing they'll agree to START, and historically they only finished interspecies conflicts, never started them. I mean, I can get that they'd covertly do it for resources, but this has to be explained and the only vibe I get here is "because we're right and one of their agents is insane".

Man, only 3 chapters in and I already think this story is awesome :D. I'm already liking this story idea a lot more than Synthesis as it seems a lot less 'deus ex machina' like. Also, I'm always up for a nice HFY story and now I can't wait to read more and see where you take this.

Woooo! I do so love this story. Kinda hope krogans n quarians get similar deals, if humans can't kill the rrapers this cycle.
