As much as I would like to bemoan Harry's actions in this chapters, they are true to canon. Rowling wrote Harry as a impulsive boneheaded (and partly naive), I dare say, idiot. True Gryffindor indeed (I should stop reading fics with Daphne in them lol). I'll preemptively say this is very much enjoyable work with fairly original twist, so kudos.

Of all the time travel FF I've read, this is my current favorite.

Gobledegook is not demeaning as the name for the Goblin language. It makes perfect sense. Especially when you consider, its the name English Wizards, who have fought multiple wars against Goblins call it. Goblins don't call their language Gobledegook. No more then Spanish people call their language Spanish.

I disagree, most muggles don't have common sense. It is highly uncommon.

While trying to have a more mature Ron isn't a bad thing, he was still a jealous part and could be quite fickle. I can't say I'm a fan of him.

Pity this ended here, I would have loved to see how this ended up, even if there was only a couple segments split up over timeskips, I could completely see Hermione joining them due to Harry ending up in charge of multiple houses too, Luna too with a bit of crazy hijinx.

So... We not going to address how Tonks is a significantly older adult lying about her intentions to get close to an underage teenager and is constantly thinking about how attractive said teenager is?

Like, if I wrote Charlie Weasley going back in time and doing the exact same thing as Tonks here, but with Hermione and not Harry, I would have a super creepy protagonist lusting after a teenage girl, and any relationship is him sexually assaulting Hermione.

But because it's Harry instead, it's fine.

This is why most Harry/Tonks are post-Hogwarts or they make Tonks born earlier. You've just done this weird thing where made herself look 16 and now she kinda is?
That doesn't negate the power imbalance in your main pairing. That imbalance comes from Tonks having more life and dating experience than Harry. That can't just be magically gotten rid of.

You're bashing Ron here. He's not an idiot, he's had the same grades as Harry (except for an EE in DADA instead of Harry's O). He also plays chess, and that's usually code for someone being intelligent.

What Ron lacks in is *tact.*

Also, really, who else is going to be Perfect in their year, if not Harry? Scared of his own shadow Neville Longbottom? Blow it all up Seamus Finnegan? Dean the West Ham fan?

Well, in Dumbledore’s defense, all of this is because Voldemort can look through Harry’s eyes.
But he can’t exactly tell anyone that. How would YOU like to tell someone that you believe that the most evil person in recent history can possibly control them, read the minds of people and hurt others through them? I just feel bad for Dumbledore, being unable to explain why exactly he’s doing everything the way he is
