Wow. This is an excellent, excellent way to remember the Columbia astronauts. My only beef with this story is that, sadly, it's unlikely that within the next 200 years there won't be any *more* major accidents like that one. But yes, these folks *will* be remembered into the future. Interestingly enough, the name "Columbia" comes from an even older explorer, Christopher Columbus. The history there, and the connections between successive ages of explorers! So awesome. I only wish it was someone from a real future time travelling back to tell us instead of the (always excellent) imaginary future from Trek. Rest in peace, Columbia.

Though there would probably be many mory incidents following the Columbia it is a fiting tribute to those crews.

Nicely done. About the only gripe that I have is that no mention was made of the russian pioneers who also gave their life for the conquest of space... but then again, they wern't lost one one of those six days...
