![]() ![]() ![]() mangoose, ever heard about the multiverse. you know the place where what could've been is, and what doesn't happen does. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Honestly, after having gone through so many Harry Potter crossovers, starting with a pre-Hogwarts Harry that hasn't even fought Voldemort is a dead-end for a story. Why? Because the author will always end up making a Mary Sue due to the simple fact that they won't have an explanation as to why Harry becomes powerful. Harry's journey through Hogwarts turns him into a heroic person who is motivated by his love for others to brave even the greatest of dangers. This also gives him the necessary knowledge to use magic. Now, without that journey, how is he supposed to become the Harry Potter we know? He doesn't. Most Harry Potter crossovers share the same syndrome prevalent in Naruto fanfiction: Naruto-In-Name-Only. Or, in this case, Harry-Potter-In-Name-Only. These characters carry the name but not the actual personality of the known character. It may as well be an OC-insert/OC-SI insert for all its worth. |
