The remake is... ok, but it doesn't sit right to me.
I mean... Kanshou and Bakuya are swords that used to kill monsters, and Devils are considered one. Having a Devil Shirou using a "devil-killing" sword as his disposal, isn't it a little ironic?
And being a devil means that he will have a lot of fatal weaknesses in the future, especially when he wants to trace a holy weapon.
And Shirou is not the type of guy you should bind in a "slavery" relationship. And I don't want him with anyone else besides his "canon" girls (especially Saber). That's why I love GoDxD more than this.
I mean, really, he should be a neutral party, it suited him more.
I love the Shirou you use in GoDxD, all you have to change is making him a neutral party, and giving him someone to protect (I would love it if that's Saber), someone dear to him. He's a guy searching for a purpose to live, and if he found it, I believe he can be a better "Hero" than Archer.
And I think, letting Shirou have something native to the DxDverse (sacred gear) besides his tracing is also a good idea. Which means he has more sources of power to rely on. Well, just my opinion.

Was a shame you stopped your other story, but as you said, you had too many ideas that you felt you must implement, and they created a snarl in the plot. It could have been salvaged, but knowing if you can, or should, is a key aspect of writing.

So, you decide to use this to reboot it, taking many of the ideas, but implementing them in a more consistent fashion. Sensible.

*sigh* This has some good potential and your writing (grammar and your use of first person) is much improved since GDxD, but honestly your use of the resurrection crossover trope is killing my interest in this. The section is oversaturated already with crossover characters being resurrected as a devil. I loved GDxD because you took a nonstandard approach to the crossover. Sure, it needs a LOT of polishing (and the fact you wanted to rewrite it by making this instead because you know this too). I think you are taking 5 steps forward only to go 10 steps back. Most of the stories that go the whole resurrected devil approach always end up dead in the water, so I am voicing concern because using overused tropes can have people lose interest. DxD crossovers is a perilous section as most are somewhat poor and you can see how most hit that writer's plot block and their story just stops suddenly after they run out of 'canon' plot safety net. Avoiding tropes and moving forward without 'canon' guiderails is the sign of a skilled writer. Your work with GDxD shows that you have that potential.

Is Shirou's going to get other class cards or just stick with Archer? You have to admit it would be funny seeing Shirou install Saber from Fate Prototype for the battle with Kokabiel and just nuking him with the Excaliblast. Cue jaws dropping and a repeat of the 'Shirou's King Arthur' bit from Guardian DxD, and laughs from a certain vampiric old troll.

I like your new story, a bit better than your old one...sorry about that. Their both good, its just so far this has me more pumped than your other story ever did. I myself have actually been planning to do a croos story between Fate and DxD. But my problem is where too start from. Your idea of Fate Kaleid Shirou becoming a devil is actually something ive been wondering about doing. Though i have others...anyway i have to ask...how muchof the fate cast are we gonna see?

Seems good but I don't really like you went the Shirou devil route, I feel making a character a devil is just a quick cheap way to make a character stronger in DxD like how Issei went from a complete loser to being able to fight supernatural beings in like two weeks. I think I would have preferred the card attempting to heal him through swords which could have foreshadowed the risks of the class cards.

Rias is too overused and frankly. Rias is a boring character. And Sona has a dream that is far more selfless and her ideals are somewhat similar to Shirou's.

Uhmm... if he had installed Archer... where is Kuro? also Sella romance... kinda feels weird... he is like a big sister to him, just saying... and dying while on an Install while fighting a magus seems über lame way... I would get it if he died as a human... but not as a pseudo heroic spirit

Maan, to think one of my favorite authors was a fellow Romanian... Well, you might not know me but I've been around since the early days if Guardian DxD, so with a new start I decided I'll review from now on. As for what I'll review, this is only the first chapter so there isn't much from a story point of view that you probably haven't figured out yet. But I gotta say, hemomancy for a Romanian, I can only hope for some more xD but instead of a spear, maybe use a țeapa next time. I know his family is kind of gone, but there are vampires and mages in DxD too. Maybe a cameo here and there from a hemomancer with a strange inherited love for impaling? Wink wink nudge nudge. All in all, I shall await the next chapter with a light heart till my next review!
