I think the author has really bloomed over time. The later arcs are so much better than the early fiancée debacle. My fears of unoriginality have been thoroughly debunked and I am super happy about it. Hopefully Riser will do the big pants, big balls, 200 IQ move and let Rias go peacefully at the party.

I'm not really convinced Shirou couldn't have armed the Gremory group with weapons, considering that he already did so and plenty of people have seen him create weapons already, but I believe the author just wanted Rias to lose, hopefully so Riser can be a decent person for a change. Also let's be honest, handing out anti-healing or anti/regeneration weapons for a fight that isn't a life or death situation would have been irresponsible.

I am really really happy about Rose finding Shirou. It sincerely made no real sense for Rose, Akeno and Koneko to fall in love with Issei, and I always felt like they were shoehorned into the role for the sake of the harem story. Rose specially. What kind of bullshit 'falling in love' was that between Rose and Issei? Shit-tier writing by the author of the original story.

And speaking of the original story, I feel like we should remember the shock from when Azazel mentioned that Issei was only going to live till his 100 years or so. Devils live for 10.000 years on average, which means 100 times more than humans. By the logic, let me see..

100 (reasonable human life expectancy) is to 10.000 (reasonable devil life expectancy) - 1/100

So a human's entire lifetime feels like a year to a devil, thus lets say Shirou sticks around in an active role until his 40s, which is reasonable, and that means he'd be around for the equivalent of a trimester or so, from a devil's PoV

The Sitri group should seriously consider that Shirou is basically a friend like those you meet during summer vacation and then never meet again.

Furthermore, IF he started a relationship with any of them and it only lasted for the remaining of highschool, meaning 2 years or so, it'd be the equivalent of a few hours. Point being, they should consider that he will be gone before they know it.

Saji really doesn't has much to be jealous of. IF Shirou got together with Sona, that'd be like a summer love, at the most. Literally at the most. Oh, also Riser could wait for Illya to grow up in the equivalent of a week's time, from his PoV. That's called relative time perception. Have you ever noticed how children are so impatient? Well, consider that a 6 years old has only been alive for 6 years (yes yes ppl die when they are killed, stating the obvious here but work with me). So that means that for that kid, waiting 1/2 a year for xmas is like telling a 60 years old to wait 5 years for a beloved friend to visit. Its an important chunk of his total life experience.

Shirou is basically a mayfly to them, is all I'm saying.

Anyway, I hope Issei ends with Rias and Asia, and nobody else, because IMHO all the other girls were shoehorned into his harem by the author. Hell, arguably it should be just Asia. And I'm still more than a bit pissed Letticia joined the Hero faction. I really hoped something more original would happen.

Oh! question to the author. Seeing as Miyu is around what about Kurou? Is the Prism story going on in the background without Shirou knowing about it? I think that'd be hilarious.

Ok so Phenex won for a change... So i can only see his relationship problem going two ways he can now only talks things out with Rias (as mature people should) and they either call it off or make their danmdest to make it work...

Also be careful with which character you end up pairing Shirou with he is know to be a Single target Sexuality kind of character so whoever you choose as his pairing is the endgame.

I loved the Paris arc. I genuinely wish the author hadn't thrown Jeanne into the Hero Faction just like in cannon, but in general I have an intense dislike for cannon in fanfics. What's the point of having a new character if everything happens exactly the same? That's just like throwing a new character in for it to be nothing more than a wall decoration that doesn't actually do anything meaningful as the story develops just like before every single step of the way. I can that Cardboard Protagonist.

Nothing but a cardboard cutout pretending to be a protagonist. Well at leastShirou helped Saji grow stronger early so there's that.

I like this chapter. Raiser not being the "King of assholes" was a nice change of pace. While Shirou is a bit dramatic, it makes sense since he's been forced to the sideline. Worse, he's seen enough of both sides to empathize with both perspectives so he doesn't have an easy solution.

I am curious how this arc concludes though. Looking forward to it.

Now this chapter was amazing! I'm so happy to see originality getting mixed with talent. I feel like the previous arc was completely unnecessary, but this is looking better and better, I love it!
Is it weird that I want Ruler to get her chest blown open so Shirou has to call Sona for an emergency devilification and thus has her join the permanent cast?

For all the hate that Fou has on Merlin, he's also the biggest influencer on him. My canon is that Fou became a pervert due to staying with Merlin for a really long time, which matches with how different the FGO Fou is compared to Tsukihime Fou (Tsukihime Fou hates humans because he was raised by Altrouge, who's blinded by her hated on Arcueid. FGO Fou was raised by Merlin and then by Chaldea, and so discovered humanity's worth and beauty which led to him sacrificing his sentience to save Mash). Other than that, I'm glad that this fic is being continued, especially with some of the best crossover fanfics here either ending, getting hiatused or ended, or are really few.

Couldn't find any good work with Shiro/Janna. Tell me if anyone knows.

It's embarrassing, but for a change, someone had to make Raiser the winner. I just don't understand Shirou's feelings about Rias. After all, everything turned out not at all as he thought. He must feel frustrated and tired of the people around him. Especially because of the mother. She has questionable behavior. Because he doesn't know the story behind it. Is she the person she claims to be?

Overall, I really like everything. You are doing a good job. I just wanted another event like in France. Battles with ghouls, werewolves. Beautiful holy maidens. It's to my taste. *Satisfied laughter*

Riser isnt a bad guy but i would still keep him away from the girls im attached to so hus worship of Iri makes me want Shirou to ignore Ravel and just stab him a few time

I find it impressive how you are handling the delicate trauma in your story...more times than not, authors tend to make MC the Gary Stu with the know it all personality who can metaphorically punch the nightmares away...it's unreal and seriously undermining mental health issues...

This is a fucking wonderful chapter, something that gives so much more depth to a pretty flat-footed part of dxd and I'm all for it.

Uh, dissapointing. So the plot is basically the same as the original, just switching Rias with Sona? Why didn't we get Rias from the start, in that case? Its about as disappointing as the WH40K fanfics where they try to rewrite the heresy but their creativity spark is more of a fizzle as all they do is switch the traitor and loyal legions around on a 1 to 1 basis. Truly dissapointing.
