Reviews for The Law
DOS73 chapter 13 . 7/21
Thank you for writing this story I enjoyed it very much and I hope you will keep up the great work.
Taliesin The Eternal Bard chapter 4 . 6/26
Marriage lost stories are unrealistic yes,Yeah if you look in the real world you can see examples of it China for instance Had a limit on how many Children you allowed to have.
PGHammer chapter 1 . 6/21
For those objecting to the sub-twenty age of consent, that is a RECENT development (actually, as late as 1980) in the UK, and even later in the US: in 1979, when I reached the age of consent (US) I was 18 - and voted in my first Presidential election (for Reagan) a year later. The story itself points to the reason for the law itself: Magical Britain needs a baby boom - that means the baby production starts at an earlier age. How early? Biology dictates that - typically 14 (wizarding and non-wizarding alike). Magic also throw in a longer (not shorter) run of child production of children for magicals compared to non-magicals. The objections looks like an attempt to skew things politically - which makes no sense.
Mari Wollsch chapter 13 . 6/23
great xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
FlowerChild23 chapter 13 . 5/31
lol. wow. This was really good.
pghammer21 chapter 8 . 3/1
Pregnant!spouses - why the law is on the books - times three. (Only the lack of a fourth spouse is why Harry didn't score a hundred (cricket term) or a Kendrick (Howie Kendrick in the 2019 NL Division semifinals against the Dodgers).
pghammer21 chapter 6 . 3/1
Full-sized beds would need expansion to hold three people; however, queen sized and larger would not (personal experience) - and I am larger than any of the three here.
pghammer21 chapter 5 . 3/1
Again - straight Draco-sledging - which both Harry AND Narcissa want to engage in - and we now know why, as the plot/chapter itself puts into bald perspective. (Therefore, I would hate this *why*?) While Harry and Narcissa are related (via Dorea Black-Potter), the genetics don't roadblock their producing children - in either the UK or US. (Not even in New York state.)
pghammer21 chapter 2 . 3/1
Narcissa's explanation: unless you're into tropes - and I'm not - do I ever! Also, the reason for the *marriage law* (and it's variants) has to do with the declining global population of Magicals - period; while NOT unique to Britain, it is the worst there. Had Riddle died DEAD in 1981 (no Horcruxi whatever), such a law would STILL have been needed - and again, not only in Britain).
pghammer21 chapter 1 . 3/1
The male Malfoys (Lucius AND Draco) have historically been about control - why would ANY woman voluntarily put up with it if there is a decent exit? (It is, in fact, stories that give Narcissa and/or Pansy that exit are popular - among readers and writers alike.) (It also shows up as part of misogyny - which is common among the male Death Eaters; therefore, the same shows among their wives - it also explains the surprising number of stories where Pansy's father is NOT a Death Eater - the same applies to the Bulstrodes and Davises.)
Grosvenor chapter 13 . 2/25

Pointer3109 chapter 2 . 12/27/2021
Instead of going to jail, where I would expect rape if female, I would go to the Wizengamut and trim their male population a bit before they got me.
