Bravo! I love how in character everyone was (with the understanding that my interpretation of Snape is generous), made it so rewarding.

Very interesting story. Glad I decided to read it after seeing it mentioned in the Slytherin-to-Gryffindor one-shot. I'm interested to see how this turns out, so I guess it's on to Wolf's Choice now. Well done and thanks for sharing!

Dumbledore‘s argument that a safe house is not an option because there would be no one to care for Harry is just silly. Willfully neglecting to question the suitabilty of the Dursleys as guardians is one thing, knowingly tolerating abuse is quite another. Arranging for people to take care of Harry could not be that difficult - especially if you would avoid mistreatment by doing so. The greater-good-argument does not work with such a trivial thing. And if you mean to say that Dumbledore just does not care whether Harry is abused or not, you could as well make him the next Dark Lord. It does not fit.

The gossip argument also seems far fetched. Who would notice that Harry is not at the Dursleys? They would certainly not complain. Nobody ever checked on Harry before. That would only be conceivable if the Ministry had a tracker on him.

They are supposed to be in 2nd year. 12 year olds don‘t talk like that. At that age you are not scheming politics. This would be more realistic if they were at least 3 or 4 years older.

The present tense is really putting me off. In my opinion this would be way better in past tense.

The Slytherinsˋ reverence for Parselmouths is kind of weird. You mention Harry being a Parselmouth several times as the (only) reason why he would be save in Slytherin even from the children of Death Eaters. So those who don‘t like him or see him as an enemy find out that he can speak Parseltongue and that overrides their previous views of him - just like that? I find that hard to believe.

The same goes for Snape. He behaves rather OOC. Harry is sorted into Slytherin and all his hatred and prejudice seem to have vanished from one minute to the other.
Why does he check for malnutrition in the hospital wing? This seems to come out of nowhere. If this were part of standard health checks, Pomfrey should have realised it long before.

Why does Harry not recognise Zabini and the Slytherin girls from his year? They had classes together for two years and the Hogwartsˋ classes are rather small. He should not need several minutes to recognise his class mates - even if they are from different houses. I can‘t believe that people would be that self-centred.

That’s impossible. Only a TRUE GRYFFINDOR can pull Gryffindor’s sword out of the hat. So this fic is entirely wrong. Harry can’t be a Slytherin because of he wasn’t, he wouldn’t have been able to pull the sword out of the hat!
