There’s a high school dxd fanfic called the lone dragon emperor and it basically does end with the scenario that you described. Issei in that story suffered so much was so broken (think tatsumi if bennia died) that he basically gave into his rage and anger and essentially became a psychopath. Kinda fitting for an ending I guess. This would not have worked here like you did describe. Sure it would have been cathartic in a way but there’d really be no where to take the story. I’m glad you went the route you did.

Personally I think Ravel and Hikaru will be joining with Tatsumi. Either as romantic partners or just as siblings beyond blood. As for Ravel and him having sex last chapter? Yeah I didn’t buy it. Tatsumi isn’t the kind of guy to take advantage of someone while they are at their most vulnerable like that. Hikaru at first I thought really was a bitch but then as the fight progressed and she didn’t press her advantage so many times or made so many ‘mistakes’ while attacking him or how she managed to get her friends in his Chest but didn’t go for the kill then and there like she said she wanted to? So I’m glad she’s not under his thrall. I’m still hopeful that some other AGK characters will become part of the main group. Like Akame and Chelsea. Those two are my favorites of AGK.
