I think the fanfiction side of the internet is reasonably tolerant. I hope you don't get any bizarre hate from fans.. Thank God 4chan never got into fanfiction. Best of luck to you!

That's perfectly understandable and obviously your choice. That said, I am a little sad that this won't be finished. I really liked this one. But your happyness is obviously more important than a little entertainment.
Honestly, following Rowling is just like watching a train go off the tracks and slowly crash at this point, it's kinda horrifying and kinda sad.
Here's to selfishly hoping you bring your talents to other fandoms I enjoy.

Honestly? I completely understand how you feel. I'm also trans and cannot stand Rowling as a person. I've decided to continue enjoying the universe she has created, but through fans making it better. I know thats not for everyone tho. Either way, I'm sad to see this story discontinued , because I really enjoyed it, but I fully support your desicion! I have never in my life read anything this well written before. Seriously, you make it feel so real and raw. It’s amazing. You have a talent. This is one of the few stories where intelligent characters actually come off as intelligent because of the own considerable intelligence of the author. You changed Harry but he’s somehow still the canon Harry in a way. All the characters are so much like their characters in the books but also changed by different occurrences.
It’s an amazing and wonderful masterpiece. This made me dislike some other fanfics I started reading since because you somehow made me get higher standards. Honestly, after reading this amazing work I can’t enjoy anything else that much because I know how good this one is.
I understand if you can’t continue the story due to the difficulties in your life but I hope you someday come back to this unique and intelligent fanfic. And even if you don’t I’m really grateful for what I have.

This is a wonderful story. Shame you abandoned it.
