I feel like that scene with Mizuki was a bit unneeded. Him having this long-term elaborate plan to have Naruto specifically steal the scroll just seems a bit silly in my opinion. It makes more sense that he just chose Naruto during his days as his instructor because Naruto, being hated by most of the village and being desperate for attention, was just the easiest target. I know it's kind of a nitpick, as it's just a short scene in this fic, but it just feels that way to me.
