I'm pretty sure most of the Ron hate comes from people who watched the movies. Lots of negative stuff gets shoved on Ron as comic relief, and he even gets robbed of pretty critical things, his accomplishments being given to Hermione.

I'm not a giant Ron fan, but fanon Ron is a caricature, with the most negative traits exaggerated to the extreme, even when other movie stuff is ignored.

Snape is almost the opposite - the movies portrayed him much more sympathetically than his childish behavior in the books.

Meh. It was great with the first few chapters because of the sheer novelty of this and characters still were somewhat believable, I really had a good laugh. Then it went overboard into absurdism/Dadaism territory, which clashed with the stated intention of sticking to Harry Potter fanfiction genre. And the blatant and incessant injection of alcoholic scenes literally everywhere did not help the matters. (BTW Kinda hilarious to read a/n on "don't do hard drugs" when I've had more people around me destroyed by alcohol than by hard drugs - joys of growing up in Syberia).
Imma leave on this cutoff point.

Absolutely hilarious fanfic so far.
I must pipe up about Sirius tattoos. They do not make a lick of sense. Prison tattoos are done to commemorate (usually criminal) achievements (years in prison, people killed, gang affiliation, reputation etc) and to distinguish people (whether in a good -Vor, Pahan- way, or bad -Petuh, Suka-). Everything implies a prison community.
From what is known of Azkaban in canon, there is no community. People are shoved into solitary cells and kept near catatonic by mind torture for years. Muggles would've died in a week, but I guess wizards are more durable. So who would've done tattoos on him and with what device?
So yeah, no community, no black market - no tattoos. They just rolled with Muggle stereotypes for prison convicts without understanding things. Case in point: konzentrationlager uniform on Sirius in Shrieking Shack at the end of Year 3. After the guy was on the run for a year and had ample opportunity to say least nick something from Muggle trashbin.

There's a reason "military culture" is a term; it's valid. The entire business of Basic is enculturating the military mores and mindset as part of teaching inductees to be... soldiers.

It's the third time I read this fanfic, and it's still my favorite chapter. Can't help but imagining Harry saying the 'no, no, no' like DBZA Vegeta and the reaction of his friends and the staff is hilarous
