What amazing story! I'd love to know what happens next, but just as it is, this is such a great work. Every single chapter is so well done and the characters are true to canon. This work is top tier!

Omg, this is too cute!
I love it. Barely a paragraph in and I was hooked.
Tiny, vulnerable Zuko meeting the gaang is just so lost and huggable, but he thinks he’s just as tough as he was back in his ship.
And somehow Iroh as a teapot fits too.
Love this plot idea and can’t wait to read the rest!

This was a really fun and enjoyable story and I'm so glad I found it (all these years later). From my own experience, some of the highest praise that can be given is when a reader can hear the voices of the characters and that was certainly the case as I was reading this. I'm sad to see this finished already but also happy.

I think I like reading angst more than I think. Like, sometimes, when I feel picky, I try to avoid the fics with “Angst” or “Hurt/Comfort” (or both) unless the summary catches my eyes first. But when I’m not reading ridiculously fluffy one-shots or whatever (really good) story I found, I realize I keep jumping between Tony-angst (Tony Stark, I mean, and no, that does NOT mean I’m Team Ironman, nor am I Team Cap), Loki-angst, Harry Potter-angst, and very occasionally Draco-angst. I just - really like hurting myself. Now I’m being dragged into Avatar and guess what that means! Zuko-angst! yay

Seriously, though, really great story. I don’t remember if I had meant to comment on this chapter or the last one, but Zuko is Zuko and he’s adorable and sad and I don’t think that would matter (too) much. Really like this, and Zuko, too.

I really loved reading this! Your characterization of Zuko was so on-point, and you did a great job of explaining his perspective. I'd never really thought about just how much trauma Zuko had suffered growing up, but you explained it extremely well. I loved the happy reunion ending with Uncle Iroh and the Zutara moments. Thank you for such a great, well-written story!
