Reviews for A Dramatic Reading |

senawario chapter 1 . 4/30/2017 very nicely done. First book-reading fic I liked - you're absolutely right in your AN that most of them are crap. And although, while reading the initial chapters, I was hoping for this to continue to year 2, it really doesn't make sense; you're right about that too. Amelia Bones would/should take care of everything now, so there need not be anything more to be achieved by more public reading. |
Srikanth1808 chapter 17 . 4/27/2017 Absolutely well done! What a story! Really enjoyed reading it in a matter of hours at one go :) You're right - continuing the book reading in public doesn't make sense, especially with all the changes that's happened. It would be interesting to see their reactions though. Has anyone PMed you yet to take this up? Once again, brilliantly written! :) |
blueEyre chapter 17 . 4/25/2017 Enjoyed your story! Thank you |
Lucy chapter 10 . 4/22/2017 THis is a good story weel don |
MuggleCreator chapter 17 . 4/21/2017 Thanks. Good stuff. |
mikek3332002 chapter 17 . 4/20/2017 Great to see a reading story that is complete, has original content, and flows well with minimal book quotes. |
RSegovia chapter 17 . 4/17/2017 Very nice story, neatly straddling the line between drama and parody. Thanks for so succinctly summing up the argument that Dumbledore planning out Harry's adventure and luring the trio into the obstacle course is definitely canon, but not out of callous manipulation. It's clear that at this point he hoped Harry could finish off Voldemort's wraith for good if they were drawn into a confrontation. Still, it was extremely convoluted and unnecessarily dangerous. |
Rena the pirate jedi wizard chapter 17 . 4/16/2017 I absolutely loved what you did with this. I remember being highly interested in this trope back when it first became popular, but you are right, it was often unwieldy and over saturated with direct quotes. I thought that this had a fairly good balance and I enjoyed the overall characterizations of the those involved. While I understand why you might not be interested in writing further stories in this series, I can only hope that you do. |
Siver-Wolf chapter 17 . 4/15/2017 I think that instead of making a sequel that continues to book 2 this would be an ideal place to make a original story line all of its own. This story makes an excellent way of setting up how all those changes were made, and now to continue an original story plot based off those changes. That being said, this is the most amazing reading of the books story I've ever read. I especially loved your Ministry appointed deviations teacher's comment that he foresaw that it would not help. |
Guest chapter 17 . 4/12/2017 Please continue this story I love the way it's written and don't know if anyone else could do it exactly like you do |
abby1006 chapter 17 . 4/13/2017 Five stars! You completed the story with excessive quotations, you made sure pertinent questions were asked, and you kept everyone in character. Awesome job! |
BlackSymphonyIsTrash chapter 17 . 4/12/2017 this is an ingenius story and a true thrill ride! Please continue this someday, if only to show Sirius's release. I'll definitely read it. |
janefanatic chapter 17 . 4/10/2017 This was a lovely ending! I feel sorry for Filch (he is unqualified for any sort of work in the magical OR muggle worlds), but he is such an unpleasant sod that he deserved to be canned a long time ago! I think Minerva will be a lovely Headmistress! Of course, I worry about Kingsley and the curse on the DADA job, but maybe since he only plans to be there until the end of the school year, the curse won't be implemented? I hope that's the case. Thanks for sharing! I'm glad Umbridge and (presumably) Fudge got their just desserts! |
Owain1 chapter 17 . 4/9/2017 Excellent finale. |
Hands Off MY Wolfie chapter 17 . 4/9/2017 I really did like the way you presented this and the wrap-up was satisfying, but I would like to see some additional scenes if you ever have the urge to add some more. As including some scenes from the years between first and fifth. Or like a report back from the Aurors and others investigating the books. I thought I already reviewed this - probably while I had no internet. Sorry this is so late, I read it immediately after you posted it. |
