RedDragon30000 chapter 1 . 2/19/2017
Although you say that you wrote this quickly, that in no way shows in the story. It might be very short, but it manages to convey a great deal. If you hadn't stated what the pairing had been, it's still possible to guess who it is, if you read the story carefully.

Although the pairing itself is startling at first, it does work very well. Nothing seems forced, the relationship seems very sweet and natural. It's lovely how Lucy and Dinah care about easy other, worrying when they are going into assembly. They are both aware that something bad happens in every assembly, but have no idea what it is. All they care about is making sure that the person they love is safe.

I loved the bit at the end, where they went to the library together. It was so poetically described, when you explain how they do the same thing in sync, gathering reading material that attracts them. Even though Dinah and Lucy clearly concentrate on their reading, and consider it a priority, they also want to demonstrate their affection for each other.

Their little caresses are really cute, showing that they don't mind demonstrating their love for each other, even inside the library.
