Reviews for Sting |

![]() ![]() I love your portrayal of Glorfindel! He is my favorite character. Sting being Eärendil's sword is one of my favorite theories. Have you heard the one in which Sting is the dirk Glorfindel used to stab the Balrog's belly with? It's quite fascinating. Anyway, your story was lovely! Thank you for writing it all these years ago. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This fic was very well made. I love what you did with it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wonderful meeting, between a small but adventurous Hobbit, and an old Balrog Slayer. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Interested story about sting's origins. |
![]() ![]() ![]() hello great story ok just a few questions...why is legolas called little greenleaf all the time and why have you stopped Elronds forgettable birthday and i think that is most of my questions...your stories r all really good! you should write more! they really hook u into them...well pls rite more for me? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great fic. I'm starting to sound a little redundant in all of my reviews of your fics, but I really do enjoy your stories and your views on Tolkien's work. So for the sake of being redundant, I loved it, don't ever stop writing! ) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great story. A much more satisfying explanation of Sting than the one in the movie weapons and warfare book. The coversation between Glorfindel and Bilbo is quite touching. I love the irony that Frodo gets to wield the sword of Earendil in one hand and the light of Earendil in the other. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I enjoyed this story, and how you linked it to the story where Frodo meets Legolas in Mirkwood. Keep writing, you do a fine job of it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() this was really really awesome! Glorfindel is one of y fav characters. Hes so cool! *~* Dy *~* |
![]() ![]() ![]() Finally, after hours of searching, I have found another *wonderful* Glorfidel story! Thank you! *hugs author* I wondered why no-one ever told Bilbo if Sting had a special story behind it. Glad to see that you've taken it upon yourself to tell us Sting's story. So it belonged to Eärendil! How would've thought! I liked how your portrayed Glorfindel's pain as he recounted the Fall of Gondolin - poor guy. Thanks for such a great story! |
![]() ![]() ![]() can elves really come back from the halls of mandos? ah well, good story. i have however one plea, please will you read my little legolas fic and any suggestions for a better title or summary are much apreciated. thanks. |
![]() ![]() ![]() That was lovely, just as all your stories are. :) Poor Glorfindel though, I feel sorry for him almost everytime I read about Gondolin, now. *sniffles* Anyway, keep writing more stories! ;) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Lovely little story, Tree! Wistful where it needed to be, amusing at other times. I liked the mentions of Legolas and his spiders. But you also did good in not playing them up too highly as they aren't the purpose of this fic. Just a sprinkle was just right. |
![]() ![]() ![]() wow. i've always wondered what lineage might Sting have come from, and you have given it a wonderful history. (though i need to refresh myself on the stuff of The Simarillion... *sheepish*) bravo! *grin* |
![]() ![]() ![]() Mae Govannen, Treehugger ~ What a beautiful tale! The true innocence of the Hobbits when contrasted with the knowledge older elves carry, the melancholy they feel, is perfectly shown here. Hobbits can ask questions such as Bilbo's precisely because they don't know, and aren't asking to be mean. Maybe that is why Bilbo is so welcomed in Imladris. :) I love the contrasts here, and you've woven a tale to remember! Looking forward to much more. Levade |
