I really don't understand why this stupid trope of evil, selfish, fangirl Ginny has persisted. There isn't even a HINT of this in canon, but it seems like the Fandom has the complete opposite view of these characters compared to what they actually are in the story. Good people get turned into ridiculous caricatures and genuinely terrible people become misunderstood martyrs. Why I stopped stepping into this Fandom ages ago. This is a relatively old story but it's a good reminded of why I should have stayed away.

The argument Harry had with Daphne over him taking a house elf bodyguard reeked of forced drama. Granted Harry was a bleeding heart in canon but his reaction did not feel organic.

I'm fairly certain that Gideon was the unwilling pawn in Harry's attempted assassination going by the clues we've been given so far.

Seems kind of stupid to use such a specialized spell for an assassination. In a school full of children using a brain-liquifying spell would definitely narrow down the suspect pool considering the amount of power it takes to cast the spell.

I can see patterns in your writing style, this is the second story with an assassin making multiple attempts on Harry's life. Actually, there are quite a few similarities between this story and A Marriage of Convenience now that I think about it.

Dumbledore's portrait was already in the office almost immediately after Albus' death. When Harry entered Snape's memories before his trip into the forest there was a memory of Albus' portrait warning Snape to be cautious when he delivered the sword of Gryffindor to Harry and company n the Forest of Dean.
