What is going on?

Yes, I hate Itachi right now. Yes, I can read between the lines, and yes I realize that he's doing all of this to make Sasuke figure out how he feels about Naruto, but that makes him EVEN WORSE in my opinion.

If Itachi was forcing this engagement on Sasuke because the company was in financial trouble and he thought the engagement was the only way to protect Sasuke's future, I'd sympathize with him. But there's nothing dire like a bankruptcy going on here. The only thing going on is that Naruto and Sasuke are slow in hooking up with each other. Well so what? They are teenagers. They have the right to figure themselves out at their own pace! There's no need to rush them into a relationship. They are the only ones who can decide when they are ready!

Itachi gave Sasuke some crap about Naruto not waiting around for him forever, but Naruto WASN'T waiting for Sasuke because he'd only just started to realize out how he felt. Had Itachi done nothing, Naruto and Sasuke would've talked after the party and started figuring things out for themselves. That's what makes Itachi's actions complete bullshit. They WEREN'T NEEDED and it WASN'T HIS BUSINESS to interfere. Without Itachi, we'd probably have a happy ending by now.

Because of Itachi's UNNECESSARY manipulation, a lot of terrible things have happened. I may not like Sakura, but she is an innocent party and didn't deserve to get dragged into this. Sasuke is now a mess because of everything Itachi has done and almost had a panic attack thinking Itachi doesn't care about him. And then there's Naruto who got into a fucking car accident because he was so upset about Sasuke's engagement. According to the fic's summary, he's going to fall into a downward spiral because of everything that's happening. That's just great. A cute pairing got messed up because of a busybody.

Instead of helping them, Itachi made everything WORSE. Instead of getting them together quicker, now it's going to take that much longer for them to be together. They were this close to realizing their feelings, but now Naruto has to make himself distant because the one he wants is engaged. How is Sasuke supposed to figure out what he wants when Naruto is staying away, and when he's so confused over everything that's happening to him that he can't think straight?

Just because Itachi means well, it doesn't mean Naruto and Sasuke should forgive him. They shouldn't. Naruto could've died in that car accident.

First i thought it was just a typo,but it's the 6th chap and you keep spelling Itachi's name with 2 t's.
Love the story though. Waiting for the next one.

I feel obligated to review. This was such a well written story. I feel it describes the hurt and anguish of unrequited love. But what do I know. Anywho, well done!
