Interesting way for Shockwave to decide to leave the "care" of atlas and head to Vale.

The moment I saw the title of this chapter, I immediately rushed to this story.

At first I was like, "No, don't escape. You'll only make things worse for yourself."

It's still true mind you, but it was the right (and logical) call. Let's face it, he WOULD have been kept there for a while. Maybe even "asked" to work with them. And let's be honest: Atlas is technologically advanced enough as it is. It doesn't need more.

Now, I've noticed some people saying "NO PAIRING" and a few suggesting Winter or Amber...

I can understand Winter I guess, but Amber? That's certainly out of left field. Sure, that one reviewer suggested it could be a "knight in shining armor" kind of thing, but still...

Speaking of, I support the idea of Shockwave being there to help Amber when she is attacked. What better way is there for Shockwave to meet Ozpin? Shockwave either saves Amber or is the one to cut the webbing instead of Qrow, or maybe he's downed for a minute as Qrow arrives to sever the connection, which results in the Decepticon finally learning his new limitations as a human. Qrow meets Shockwave, then introduces him to Ozpin. Then some talking happens that makes him a professor at Beacon. Simple, right?

Okay, back to the idea of a pairing...I actually don't know. I don't think he even CAN love someone. He always does what is logical, and being logical pretty much supersedes any other emotion.

Sure since he's a human now, all those other emotions may make themselves known, but that doesn't mean he'll just accept them. If I'm being honest, it would take a while before Shockwave quits being logical all the time. At the very least, a year...and I'm being generous when I say that.

Still, while no pairing makes more sense, I myself (and apparently a few others) wouldn't be opposed to the idea of Shockwave (somehow) finding love.

But again, no pairing makes more sense when it comes to Shockwave. He'd have to "become human" before the idea of love can even be an option. Besides, who says someone like Shockwave can't be asexual?

But ALSO again, I wouldn't exactly oppose a pairing. Just saying my peace is all.

But yeah, the idea of a pairing for Shockwave being a thing is your decision.

There is no words to describe the awesomeness of this. On an entirely different note on the ideas you suggested I am putting out certain ones with restrictions including inferior technology, limited resources other than dust, and a pseudo cyborg body. With his limitations I would like to suggest a vehicle for him to use for carrier/field research involving some form of combination between a Bullhead and Lugnut from Transformers. It is a larger size to a Bullhead to carry whatever equipment he may need and possible test subjects involving Grimm with your hints of Shockwaves curiosity over them. It will also carry things to help keep hm energized to perform at his max efficiency in the field and other things that he may need. For Shockwave he already has a weapon so he just needs something like a partner of sorts to protect him while doing his experiments because as he said he is a scientist mainly, not a fighter. I just love your conversations in this, it actually sounds like adults rather than teenagers having a deep discussion. So Shockwave finds it illogical to be kept a prisoner and gamble on that Ironwood would release him, that's logical. Seems Shockwave just wants a quiet life where he could do his research in peace. I still don't want him to have a pairing because I cannot imagine someone as cold as Shockwave swooning a lady; unless you force it, but that's just bad writing.
I still wonder if Shockwave's semblance is technology related or if he will build his own small army of droids to help him.

huh. interesting. btw, in what timeline did Shockwave actually appear in? like how long before or during the events of canon? curious on that. also looks like next chapter Shockwave escaped from Mistral. curious on how Winter and Ironwood react to that.

also curious on what exactly Winter's thought on Shockwave. also I'm assuming that Shockwave's body is roughly similar to her like that one reviewer said, pair her with Shockwave. sounds interesting if you can pull it off. if you cant at least tease us?hmm... sounds wrong when I type it out, lol.

also as an idea what if when Shockwave escapes form Mistral and is in the wild he met Amber being ambushed by Cinder's faction. kinda aid her and all that. would set up nice when Qrow comes and brings them to Ozpin in Vale. eh? though this relies on being before the actually canon. a year or 2?

now that I think about it, I'm torn with pairing Shockwave with Amber or Winter. Winter sounds more logical cause I don't think it was mentioned how long ago was Amber attacked. though imagining Shockwave being a knight in shining armor is interesting seeing how emotionally disconnected he is. lol

I vote Shockwave X Winter Schnee pairing, and for Mighty Oum and The Brothers please let there be no harem. Please continue this story, it caught my interest.

As for Shockwave's semblance, can he have a power called Technopathy? It fits for him who is a extremely talented scientist.
