Inspired by other reviewers: how about Ginny, Cho, and Romilda all have the ability to do this, and spend many cycles fighting each other for Harry before realizing the others are doing the same. For each of them, the only way to win permanently would then be to kill the others by surprise so there isn't a chance to hit the reset button, without being caught. The other possibility would be to agree to share him (i.e., poly) and that both destroy their means of resetting to prevent reneging.

This was confusing because of the rushed time travel, but it was entertaining, although it needs a "time skip"٫ many years later.

I think this more goes to show how if you have infinite chances and perfect "hindsight" knowledge of ow things will work out, you can manipulate any situation or person to your desired outcome.

Not really a love Romilda story at all, poor girl. I guess if you spend a few thousand years going after the boy you want, you deserve to have him though.

I stumbled upon this totally by accident while looking for a different fic, and man is it super well done. I appreciate how economical it is. You aren’t wasting our time with the mechanics and the set ups. You have a great concept and execute it perfectly. It’s either the product of an outstanding f-ing first draft, or a masterful job editing.
