Meh. I dislike these deus-ex-machina moments being used. Proper planning and thinking is much more admirable than a gimmick acting at the right moment unexpectedly. Otherwise it implies luck, fate or destiny matters more than conscious choice.

Him choosing to escape with rational logic, or even fighting with a slim chance to make a difference at least while still losing in the end would've been more acceptable.

Honestly, if the sword can talk then it should've just talked earlier so they can get to know and plan how to grow with each other. This on the other hand was just lame.

Such a pity too, since the rest of the chapter was so good. Oh well.

last few chapters have just been a bunch of hot air, when you take into account that it was dropped like so many other fics, makes the fic overall trash. If you're gonna be detailed and wordy then the story should match. since the story is dropped so soon after this it's obviously a failure
