Very enjoyable story, thanks! A much better outcome for Harry.

Over the years, I have come to think less and less of many of the main book characters — Ron, Hermione, Molly, Ginny, and especially Albus. I’ve also come to the realization that while Rowling created a wonderful world, she really could not make up her mind when it came to her protagonist. Was Harry special or just an Everyman thrust into an impossible situation? Worse still, why was he so incapable as the books progressed, particularly when it came to critical thinking? For me, the “Cursed Child” only reinforces her confusion regarding Harry.

So, I thoroughly enjoy a well written story like this where Harry finally starts to think and act on his own.

And I agree with you about the Slytherins. To want power doesn't automatically equal being a racist or bigot. Look at Merlin! He's stated to have been a Slytherin.

(Which I fully believe in after watching the Merlin movie. And The Sword in the Stone. He's always plotting and scheming behind the scenes, but always with the intention to help people and make England great.)

I also LOVE your ending!

Plus, it made me realize that every Epilogue I see in fanfics makes a point to not ONLY say how good things were for the "good guys" (and I use that term loosely as I read very dark fanfics) but also how BAD it is for their enemies!

I think people (at least those who read darker stories) is never satisfied with JUST the victory and happy endings.

They also want the SUFFERING and misery of the Enemy.

Humans are really quite vengeful people. _

And kudos for giving people just that.

Too many idiotic martyrs instead of intelligent people who fight back.

An interesting concept on what could have happened but why do many authors still portray Severus Snape as evil? He was one of the most complex grey characters and it's just lazy and naive to paint him as an enemy on the same level as Voldemort, ruined a fairly decent story by falling into that clichéd "Snape is bad" plot.

Fantastic story! I absolutely loved it! There's so few stories like this that don't just give a good alternative ending but are also well written

My only criticism is a small one - In the books, Teddy was raised by his grandmother Andromeda who was Tonks mother yet there's no mention of her in this story... But like I said, it's only a small criticism
