thepkrmgc chapter 1 . 9/10/2017
its cool to see a warhammer fantasy crossover instead of 40k
Xypher1 chapter 7 . 9/4/2017
Well I'm glad I found this story! Especially since it's been a while since you've worked on your other one. It's shaping up to be quite an epic and I'd love to see how the Imperials thrash their enemies!

I don't really expect the Free Folk to be that hard to deal with. In canon, they marched with something along the lines of over a hundred thousand people plus giants and mammoths only to get smashed by green boys sparsely manning the Wall and a pretty damned tiny force of charging knights led by Stannis. It's extremely easy for them to be broken up and the story shows this pretty well so far. Here they don't even have the giants and mammoths nor even all of the humans to make up their army. There's also the fact that Franz pretty much just caused a civil war right in the camp through his sheer might and plenty of wildlings will probably flee before facing the Imperials and take some of the more "loyal" wildlings to their grave. Well either that or just convert to the Imperial Gods and join the Imperials as plenty of prisoners have already done so :p.

Fighting the Night's Watch should actually be a hell of a lot easier as they number less than a thousand men and most of them are barely trained and equipped criminal scum. The Wall means nothing to the technological, magical, and strategic might of the Imperials. Hell, the foreign Imperials even have a better grasp of the native magic than its own locals do (aside from the nearly extinct Children of the Forest of course. How would they interact though? It'd probably be better than with most of the locals so far.) alongside their own powerful albeit weakened Winds of Magic.

Speaking of numbers, how large is the Imperial army anyway? I mean they initially started out as a sizable force before sustaining casualties before being bolstered with reinforcements along the way. Then they took casualties during their final battle in the Old World but were also bolstered by the convenient arrival of another force before appearing in Westeros. They've also received minimal casualties from the wildlings. I'm just guessing that they number somewhere in the low-mid thousands. Though with native converts, they could potentially have more.

How will the Imperials interact with the Northmen? I mean the First Men aren't exactly saints but they are definitely on the much lighter shade of grey and they strike me as at least being decent people. The only exceptions being the Boltons and their retainers who have their own nice exception in their heir Domeric Bolton who was sadly poisoned months before canon.

I should also point out that I agree with some of the previous reviews in that I can't really see the women "unceremoniously" bite the dust as you put it. Glorious last stand? Definitely. "Unceremonious" and other degrading methods? Not really. I also agree with ArcherReborn2. Just because this is a crossover with ASOIAF, you should not feel obligated to create a bunch of character deaths. Frankly, the nature of crossovers means that one side could potentially screw over the other side in terms of "rules" so the constant rate of numerous death in ASOIAF may not necessarily apply here. I also agree with Dp11 in that it would just create necessary drama to kill them off, especially considering who we're talking about here.

I should also point out that a lot of stories seem to exaggerate the amount of depravity and criminal behavior that occurs in ASOIAF. Yes there is plenty of it in Westeros canon but a lot of stories give me the impression that three quarters of the male population must be complete raping criminal assholes. If this was the case then the Night's Watch would be able to fully man the Wall with these criminals. Hell, even the most hated and intimidating of lords such as Tywin Lannister and Roose Bolton (both of them having their own inhumane crimes) do their utmost to preserve general law and order. Roose's favorite rule comes to mind, "A peaceful land, a quiet people".

There's also something to consider with why there are so many dramatic deaths in ASOIAF. It can basically be summed up into three ways:
A) Fucking incompetent idiots of lords who are also insufferably arrogant.
B) Fucking power hungry assholes who never seem to care for things beyond power and prestige.
C) Being the poor fucker who happens to be the helpless minor noble or peasant pawn caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The Imperials don't really fall into any of these categories. Seriously, these soldiers have had to deal with literal Hell on Earth and simultaneously deal with insane domestic AND foreign politics SIMULTANEOUSLY AND DAILY! They've been forced to constantly adapt and progress just to survive. Even though they show some sings of arrogance regarding the Westerosi, they're still very much on their guard due to their own experiences as proven in this story so far. In contrast, the Westerosi only concern themselves with something around their immediate borders or grasping for the next incremental increase in rank in the continent. They barely recognize the Essosi states and are pretty much limited to ridiculously petty power plays that never seem to end and without anyone learning any valuable lessons on caution which lead them to always be caught off guard when things go bad again. Oh and they also somehow managed in the entirety of their 8,000 years of history in Westeros to move from the Bronze Age into something only somewhat more advanced than our own Middle Ages. It's actually pretty damn pathetic and it's no wonder that they're so screwed with the Others.

So it would seem really out of character for ANY Imperial to die "unceremoniously" due to some stupid mistake that they would take great care to avoid as already shown so far.

Anyway, I agree with you on harems too; don't really like them, enough said. I feel bad for Franz though, if he doesn't go home then he's essentially leaving his wife and children :(. Must be really tough to be him in this situation right now; lesser men would have succumbed long ago. If he does pursue some kind of romantic interest though, I'm pretty partial to him and Aureleth; their banter and reluctant protector/grudging acceptance relationship is just too amusing. That and Aureleth might find some common ground with Franz not being a "short-lifer" anymore and an unwilling champion of Lilaeth now :p.

Anyway, hope to see an update.

Damn! I was getting all excited too! Why the hell do you authors have the tendency to end your chapters in the middle of the damned battle! Ahh!
Nok chapter 1 . 8/24/2017
Since Karl has a hammer, Valten is dead and the story goes according to the 6th edition?
Nopbs chapter 7 . 8/22/2017
It's an amazing story! I admire the size of the chapters and your diligence. I look forward to the next updatings. As a fan of femslash, I would like a little romance, but its lack of maybe even better.
P.S. Are there any other works on this account? If not, then where can I read them?
Rapaxus chapter 7 . 8/19/2017
Hi, there! Great story I really like it so far, as a person who doesn't really comment I find this a bit awkward but I'm only commenting to correct some of the German you use as Reikspiel. I really like the more medieval sound of it but I saw 2 mistakes:
First in chapter five you wrote "Gesicht mich, wenn Sie es wagen!" which literally translates to Face (the noun) me, ... so I would've changed it to Zeig dich, ... which would translate to show you(rself), ...
sounds better and is grammatically correct.
In chapter seven you wrote "FOLGE MIR ZUM HERRLICHKEIT" where the correct form as an command would've been "FOLGT MIR ZUR HERRLICHKEIT" or as an non command form "FOLGE MIR ZUR HERRLICHKEIT". Whichever suits you.
Well I just wanted to correct some german and thank you for writing such a wonderful story! Because I as a person have maybe some great ideas but I', way too lazy to write those down so respect for not being some lazy shit like me.
