Beyond the writing, which is exceptionally well done for fanfiction, I appreciate the small and larger changes from canon to fit your world, and I've always been a fan of Harry utilizing his snake speech more. I do wonder if you'll take it further into its own branch of magic; I have seen seme who make parseltongue very adept at healing magic, possibly as a connection with caduceus. I like the way you've shown how uncomfortable Harry is with other people, and enjoyed that your brought Newt in as a very nice way to address the basilisk in the castle. Though I wonder how second year will go diwn; if people are petrified, it would immediately lay suspicions on Harry, though I'd imagine Selena could learn of the bigger snake fairly easily. In any case, I hope you'll keep on with this story, and eagerly await more to read! |

Here's hoping the two of them stay good friends. :D I also liked the way you handled the conversation between Harry and Dumbledore. You didn't go all "EVIL DUMBLEDORE!", and you gave Harry a believable amount of anger for the situation without turning him into a twat. You kept it as something like that should be, a serious conversation. |
