Since Harry just has Selena and she's so small (for now, she shouldnt have any massive growth spurts for decades... Slyherins got to be 70 ft in a 1,000 years so yeah.) Maybe Harry could buy a really good Mens Ventage Canvas Messages bag (bag shop club brand) and have it charmed. Featherlight/Weightless, extendable, fire/water/ect. Resistant, Blood & Magical Signature protected, all the slots do something different. One for Quills (get some freaking Fountain Pens! Who needs stupid feathers for writing!), one for ink, one for parchment, one for snacks (starved kids pick up habits.. One is hoarding food for the just in case moments), one for a spare set of clothes/future invisibility cloak/the map!, one r the bigger opens for his school books, and then of course one of the other bigger opens for Selena. The bag might cost a few hundred galleons but it would be an invistment that last years! How cool would self repairing be?

Great story so far! I like how you’ve kept the parseltongue and his abuse as big influences in the story (considering how big a deal both of those are). Can’t wait to see what happens next.

A good chapter and story. I always felt parseltongue was under used in the books. So it is nice to see this story. It does raise some questions though. Like, how will the interaction with the male basilisk go? Is harry a natural parseltongue or is it still the horcuxs' doing? Also, if it is the horcux, how will he retain the ability if he has to destroy the horcrux? Anyway, keep up the good work!

i am not entirely sure where you're going to go with this story but it does seem fairly interesting.

I just read up until the snakes were talking about chicken eggs and toads. I had never thought of Harry's familiar being a basilisk. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I just assumed it would be a basilisk becuase of the situation and how you decided to hatch the egg). This is really good so far.

There's quite a bit of inaccuracy in this. The mention of Grimmauld, the ooc nature of half the characters, the rather weird response that hagrid has to the snake and the lukewarm reactions combined with the exposition that serves no purpose but to info dump... fix these and the fic will still be cliché, but it'll be worth a solid read.

Gah ! Why a cliffhanger ? I just discovered this story and I was hyped. Now, I will frustrated as hell ! Joking aside, a really interesting story with a great beginning. It's really interesting g and you have a great pacing so far (which is the thing most fanfic author get wrong in my opinion).
