I love this story.
The greatest point that made me keep reading was that you did not start with 'so I am reborn' angst, but with how another canon character reacts. We fell in love with Maen and through his eyes with Kasumi.
I can not express how lovely I found the relationship between Maen and Kasumi. The love they have towards each other jumps off the page to hit you right in the feels! And it comes as progressive; there is an actual adjusting period where everyone is getting used to each other. There is no instant family feels, but they grow. They each put effort into it at the start and by the time she is graduating the Academy they are a family. You showed how it affected the lives of those around the protagonists too! Often the MC takes too much light and the story comes off as if the world revolves around the MC, but not on yours. The ripple effect is a thing, so there are changes, like on Ino and Sakura whom she does not spend much time around until genin, but there are also things that one single child appearing does not change, like the Massacre. I really like stories, particularly SI, where a child is not some political player before they can reach a kitchen counter and somehow saves an entire Clan. It's too risky, and admittedly not a risk any SI not placed as an Uchiha would take. The reactions of the council to an unaffiliated bloodline showing up are also believable. It could be a weapon, and had the MC ended with any ninja without a powerful clan or reputation to back them up things could have turned grim.
Her relationship with Kakashi is 10/10. I love the character but as a person? Not the most welcoming. His reaction to someone trying to change his plan of avoiding his genin and treating them like hot potatoes to be handed over is 100% real. Great characterization.
I read some commentaries and I have to say, I actually like that team 7 did not actually bond. They are soldiers who shared a few good moments, but not friends. Between Naruto and Kasumi? Sure. Kasumi and the other two? Meh. Even Sasuke and Naruto's rivalry is not actual friendship because Naruto did have friends growing up.
I actually don't understand why Kasumi still insisted on saving Sasuke when at the start she was so glad to be born a farmer. It does not add up. He is not actually one of her precious people, and that self sacrificing stunt of Kasumi came off as very OOC. Which is rare. It comes off as a 'for the plot' moment when by this point the MC has learnt this world she is in is real and the plot changes the moment she was put on team 7.
All in all, unfinished and all I would read it again. Good job!

I like Kasumi but I find it difficult to enjoy her character at this arc. I'm sure things'll turn out okay and she'll improve as the story goes on though. I just find myself comparing her to Sakura and whether she's truly good for Team 7 in the long run.

It’s so well written and the characterisation is really well done, especially with Kakashi. Maen is awesome, I love him! And I would really love to see more Kasumi/Sasuke since they are both in Konoha still.

wow. this story is so fucking amazing. the characters are so on point but so human. you make them all so real and all the changes so realistic! I love it all so much! I cant wait for more!

I'm re-reading this fic, because it's one of my favourite fics and randomly realised that this rewritten fic doesn't have (yet?) on her becoming an Anbu and her team finding out that Kakashi never reported on her skills? Wondering if that would happen again or are you removing it?

Looking good! A little bit heavy on the SI helplessness, but considering she's really only 12 I can see it- she needs to be built up and that takes time. I hope that she starts to really focus on her training soon!
