ChocolateismySoul chapter 19 . 2/21/2020
Naruto clones don't just pop, if one of them is destroyed then the information gets sent to Naruto. So there's no way that he wouldn't have known they were dead. Also Naruto is a lot stronger than you've made him out to be right now in the last few chapters
jen.xtt chapter 35 . 2/18/2020

reviewer chapter 24 . 1/25/2020
The resolution to the thing with Ino was… something. I don’t agree with it.

Though I should preface this with the fact I adore Kasumi. I love how you write her; she’s sassy, driven, with her own determination, but she’s also lost, human, trying her best (which isn’t enough for her, for everything she knows). She’s interesting to read, and I’ve grown attached to her! She’s aware of her faults and she tries to improve. She considers what the future holds-awful stuff, really, anyone reasonable in her position would be worried-and she does what she can within her own capacity. The fact she’s not a personality easily slotted into a black/white designation of “logical” vs “emotional” makes her feel that much more compelling, because it shows her complexity as a person, just like anyone else

Anyway I preface with that because I realize I may be a bit biased in terms of being irritated. But, I think that, even setting aside the fact I’m biased towards Kasumi, this resolution… doesn’t make sense. Kasumi has no obligation to help Ino whatsoever. Kasumi was cordial (insofar as she’s Kasumi) with Ino initially. Ino was the one that kept pushing, that demanded Kasumi train with her (even though she now has her own sensei). Sure, Kasumi was always pretty brisk, and her attitude towards Ino got progressively worse, but it wasn’t without reason. When someone doesn’t know how to take “no” for an answer, you become more firm to try and get it through to them that “no” means “no.” Ino never backed off.

With teams comes different obligations that should take precedence for all of them. Kasumi has her own team, Ino has hers, and more than that, they are all working to get stronger. Ino has NO RIGHT to demand Kasumi give her own progress attention when Kasumi’s priorities should be herself and her team.

That’s not even going into the fact Ino never actually SAW Kasumi until this chapter. She just saw Kasumi as an obstacle for Sasuke’s attention (which she admits). She didn’t actually want to get stronger, it wasn’t even Kasumi who was her focus. Kasumi just happened to get the fallout of her having a tantrum because she seemed to have Sasuke’s attention, something Ino didn’t have. So not only was she trying to use Kasumi for her own ends, it wasn’t even with the main goal of getting stronger in mind. She was curious, and entitled, and wanted to know what Sasuke saw in her, so she disregarded what Kasumi herself thought and imposed on her time, space, and patience.

Also, Kasumi met the bare minimum for “training.” They never outlined what this training would entail, never specified how many meetings they would have, and Kasumi had her other obligations, which means that three times is actually a lot. For someone who isn’t Ino’s sensei, that should be plenty-as two peers training, one does not need to watch over the other like a teacher. Because they AREN’T teacher and student. What, did Ino want her to draw up a training program for her? Give her a syllabus? Jeez.

And sure, there’s the argument that Kasumi is mentally older, counting in a previous life. But Kasumi seems a lot more grounded in THIS life, so however old she was before doesn’t seem to matter beyond having been familiar with the story. She also just came back from a disastrous C rank, where she had her first kill and the client was killed. Does Ino know that? No. But Kasumi being more tetchy with her in lieu of that makes sense, even if it was misdirected. Because even if her feelings about that mission (plus how unprepared she is for the future, how she isn’t strong enough) bled over into that interaction, Ino still had no right.

TL;DR, Ino pissed me off. Kasumi wasn’t entirely in the right, sure, but Ino crossed boundaries she had no right to, expecting far beyond what Kasumi was obligated to give. And no this isn’t just my bias towards Kasumi speaking, even though I do love her a lot.

Anyway, the interactions between Maen and Kasumi are great. Their dynamic makes my heart warm; he’s not exactly a father, but is no less important than that kind of figure in her life. Her grounds her, directs her when she’s lost, but in a way that she’s still given room to think and make her own decisions. He’s her guardian, but he isn’t stifling, and lets her move at her own pace. I adore every scene with Maen (Also, I really love his pink apron.)

Thank you for the chapter! And despite my complaints about Ino, I really, really love this fic-the only reason why this stood out to me is because this was probably the only thing in this fic I didn’t love. Lol.
rando chapter 35 . 1/22/2020
I can't wait for the next update! Really great fic
EmLights chapter 35 . 1/5/2020
Love this story! I hope you update soon. So glad Kakashi is back in the picture as a teacher. :)
Gensuru chapter 16 . 12/24/2019
Lovely story up to this point, interesting deviations, too.

A small matter, though it hardly matters at this late stage: You're only supposed to erase your own village's corpses in the field. The entire reason for doing that is to prevent an enemy from learning secrets by examining the corpses of fallen Ninja. Meaning instead of following security protocol she just cheated her own village out of being able to study one of Kiri's legendary swordsmen and a person with the Hyoton bloodline.

Thanks for your hard work.
Draykevero chapter 1 . 12/23/2019
Hello iaso, in the spirit of the season and in hopes of one day hearing through the grapevine about something as beautifully generous as the idea “Pay It Forward”, I’ve decided to start “Just a Few Minutes”, which I hope will encourage people to take just a little time to write informal, polite reviews to stories they’ve read and enjoyed that will brighten a stranger’s day with the simple goal of giving just one more happy moment in their day. Everyone’s heard about how just saying hello to someone else can help that person get through a trying day. Well, if that’s true then why not spread around an internet message that can do something similar for people who will never who you are but may need that “hello” and don’t get enough of them in person. Everyone will at some point go on the internet, it’s just a thing people do nowadays, so let’s make the trolls and flamers a little less prominent by spreading around a positive response for the simplest reasons, someone’s presence. It takes “Just a Few Minutes” to brighten someone’s day and there is no reason you can’t just copy and paste a simple happy message into a text box. So please help me spread around something that takes so little effort but can make even one person’s day that much better. And as a personal touch, I’m going just a little bit further, have a story recommendation that may give you just one more thing to look forward to reading, go try out “Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu”, the manga or the translated web novel. Have a wonderful day and I wish you a lucky start to the new year.

Nonael chapter 35 . 11/16/2019
I think I read some chapters of your (Kasumi’s) story a year ago and now i found this again. I have enjoyed reading this. You’re not predictable with the plot ans I like thw originality. I hope you plan on continuing this some day!

One thing bothered me in this latest chapter: fish don’t have lungs, they have gills. Please correct it :)
BOSS02109 chapter 35 . 11/3/2019
and kakashi is back, thank god! also kabuto keeps giving me the heebie-jeebies each time he talks. maen is progressively getting more tired, and naruto is gone (along with karin, I didnt see that coming!) sasuke is doing Youthful Training of the Mind, Body, and Soul with gai sensei and lee, which makes me wonder what temari is up to. but im glad gai seems to be having a positive effect on sasukes general Angst vibe, and gai is maybe the best part of this fic. love that kaka is back to being herself, I feel like at the end of this chapter she finally stopped being so heartbreakingly sad. also every kaka and shika interaction warms my cold heart, I love them together so much. also it makes me giggle to think of the ramifications of someone with kakas bloodline limit to turn invisible marrying into the Nara, because eventually, maybe in like 4 or 5 gen, a sizable amount of nara will also be able to turn invisible along with being able to use shadow techniques. anyway im just gonna get a kick out of the council when kaka comes to the age of "maybe she should settle down and have kids" and they squabble over how she should propagate her bloodline- for the village, of course. it doesnt matter bc she wont stand for it but that's for another time, ig.
tl;dr i ramble on how I view this fic and its 2am so goodnight
BlueBezerk chapter 35 . 10/26/2019
thank you one of the most well-written fics I've read on thin sight.
