I would recommend you move on with this story

We all know hes gonna have to reconcile with what the beauty of the colony would have cost earth.

I dunno. I really don’t like the crystal gems in this. They come off as manipulative and nasty, despite how good their intentions might be. Them being around in a scene makes me anxious and uncomfortable.

Okay, great start. Instantly got my attention, and it's far more "high stakes" right off the bat. And it's entirely believable that different circumstances would create exactly this scenario. (Even though I don't know the exact arrangement of circumstances yet.)

Oh, and for people who are despairing over the "not updated in 2-3 years" thing - it's still currently being updated on Archive of Our Own. The last update was January 2021.

You’re doing a great job with perspective here. I’m actually hating the Crystal Gems.

For anyone wandering this story has continued past chapter 49, you have to go to AO3 though, at the time of this review it’s at 54 chapters.

also i love all this like... all of this. bindged the whole thing all night till 4am, at work. and finally finished it now. im exhausted.
