|Reviews for Bewitched Statute of Secrecy|
| JannaKalderash chapter 3 . 4/10
Good Lord, Rita is either the biggest idiot of all time, or she's so firmly convinced of her own theories, she wouldn't accept the truth if it nit her in the backside.

It would be interesting if American Quidditch player Quentin Kowalski came forward and claimed that Bewitched was based loosely on his biological family with Samantha being loosely based on his bio grandmother Queenie Goldstein, Darren Stevens on his bio grandfather Jacob Kowalski who was thought to be a no maj but was actually a squib who had his magical heritage hidden from him and Adam is based loosely on his grandfather. That Bewitched was partially inspired by a book written to change the law in America and his bio grandfather, Jacob gave the writer the idea for the book after Queenie joined Grindelwald in 1927 as a way to get her back and to show her how much he wanted them to be together. It would be interesting to see what you feel about the show after watching Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald.

The TV show Bewitched premiered in the fall of 1964 and the American Rapport's Law that forbid mixed marriages between wizarding people and no majs was repealed in 1965 which could be in part due to this show. Elizabeth Montgomery was blonde haired like Queenie is in the Fantastic Beasts series and she wants to marry a no maj even though it is against the law for her to do so. The TV show Bewitched is partially inspired by the 1941 book The Passionate Witch written by Thorne Smith and Norman Matson and Thorne Smith died in 1934 while writing the book, which falls in the Fantastic Beasts timeline.

Great start to your story.

If this is the result of Rita and other purebloods have to the Bewitched show, makes me wonder how they would react to other shows that have magic...or seem to be magical.
Just imagine them misinterpreting "Wizard of Oz"? The likely think the ending of "it was all just a dream" (based on Dorothy's subconcious ) as a "likely muggle-worthy excuse".
And what about other shows or movies? Just imagine the outrage at just the title of Escape to Witch Mountain, that would be sure anger Purebloods with them jumping to the conclusion that "obviously some magical children were being hunted by muggles"
And there's still a lot of other shows/movies. Hehe I'd love to think how they'd react to what they'd assume to be a witch acting like a nanny to muggles. This Marry Poppins seems to have the bearing of a proper pureblood but she's breaking the secrecy laws by flaunting magic in front of the children. They'd wonder if Bert is a wizard or if he was a squib, he was far too knowledgeable to be muggle.
They'd likely mistake some sci-fi fantasy for magic... The Incredible Mr. Limpet? Obviously a case of human transfiguration and muggle baiting, some criminal wizard must behind the change of a human ignorant of magic into a fish
What would they think of fantasy books? Just imagine how they would react to "Chronicles of Narnia" or a "Wrinkle in Time".

Just shows to go ya that the Purebloods inbreeding has truly made them dumber then a brick. The ICW really needs some muggle-borns to, hopefully explain exactly what a " Telly " is and how it works. Now depending on whether Remus Lupin is still alive or not, maybe he'd be able to get through the dead space that Purebloods call a brain to explain things to them. There's no use in asking Hermione Granger to attempt it as she already knows it's a lost cause. Their skulls are so thick and their brains make Homer Simpson's look huge! So there's no hope of ever getting through to them that it's all made up to entertain the muggles. But it does show the total stupidity of the Pureblooded magical world. Now with all that said, this was a very good if short story. It just points out how back asswards their society is. If you do another along these lines I suggest it be on how fast most muggle-borns leave the magical world for lives in the muggle world. That is if the muggle-borns have any brain cells left after seven years of poor quality schooling.

Oh, this is too rich to pass up for a sequel. Please, put up a sequel to the last remark on getting the ICW involve. That should be so funny. Please, Please, Please, sequel...
