This is a great story. Don't beat yourself so much! I have fun with this. The storyline was so good. for example the way how Natsu power does makes sense everytime he defeated his enemy. You make justice of his character unlike in canon which he literally win almost of his fight in very special(plot) circumstances. If you're gonna continued in a less 3-5 words I'll take it with a wide smile. Not to mention your writing when they're fighting was so anime-like which i thoroughly enjoy. As eager as I am to know what happens next, I couldn't just read this chapter and not talk about it. That battle was utterly awsome. I'll try to explain what I felt as clearly as possible, sorry if it's a bit messy. I must warn that English is not my native language too, so sorry for the mistakes.

Usually, fights can be well-written, but if we don't realize the stakes or if they're weak or nonexistent, I don't feel as immersed, and sometimes I even struggle to get through certain paragraphs. But this... it was something else. I was on the edge of my seat until the very last second, unable to tell who would win until Natsu managed to escape for good.

The battle was not only very well-written, but mostly, I was emotionally invested the whole time. The stakes are high but not vital, since neither Fairy Tail nor Natsu have bad intentions, and the defeat of either side would affect us just as much. And yet...

I don't know if it was your intention, I'm quite sensitive so maybe I'm the only one who felt this, but all throughout the battle, I felt oppressed (in a good way) by the increasing violence even though Natsu didn't want to fight them in the first place. As we progress, we lose sight of why both sides are fighting, but it's so well done that we instinctively know why each person got caught up in the adrenaline of the confrontation as it escalated.

At one point, especially when Natsu starts getting hit one after another and really weakens as he's just trying to defend himself, I really felt bad for him. It's only from there that I realized how unjustified this fight was, and I found it extremely unfair that they ganged up on him when he didn't do anything wrong. At no point did I feel like he really wanted to harm them, and it was really heartbreaking to see him being attacked and injured like that without a single moment of respite. What was powerful above all was that it didn't take me out of the fight at all, because even though Fairy Tail was extremely violent, it didn't come out of nowhere and only increased as the intensity of the fight escalated and their opponent became more and more powerful.

So, I come to what I hope for Natsu (my favorite). I think if I felt this way here it's because I imagine Natsu with the qualities I like most about him, and I'm afraid to see them being mishandled in future chapters. For now, I have nothing to complain about, I feel like I'm seeing my little Natsu as I prefer him with only the differences due to the storyline. I'm also delighted that despite the fact that he is undeniably stronger and darker than in the manga, you didn't make a caricature of him like we see in way too many fics. Some of them wouldn't hesitate to simply have him defeat his four opponents in two seconds just to say, 'look how strong and badass he is.' That wasn't at all the case here, we feel his power extremely deeply, because in every desperate situation, he manages to get out of it. But it never happens without a downside, which is really great. He seems stronger every second than the last, but only becomes so because he's pushed to the limit.

Anyway, all this to say that as much as he is stronger and darker than usual, I still see in him his selflessness, his kindness, and his willingness not to harm those who don't deserve it, which are for me his greatest qualities and the ones I love the most. That's also why I felt so emotionally involved. For now, I feel like they're still there, but given the basic storyline, it would take very little for them to disappear and I hope that's not the case.

I think I've said everything I wanted to say. In any case, if you were wondering, I really thought they had managed to defeat him and that they were going to capture him, and the timing was perfect. Just as I felt the adrenaline of the fight subsiding, it shot back up when he got up. It's rare to have such a dynamic, oppressive, and frightening fight all at once. Hats off.

Honestly I loved this story from beginning to end. The way Natsu's character is implemented into this story is a breath of fresh air. You made so many cannon moments from the anime more exciting, the battles, everything. My only gripe is not enough lovey dovey scenes with Natsu and Erza, but I do understand that wasn't the main focus. Regardless this story was amazing, so please don't knock it. This was honestly a perfect ending.

This story has been one of the very very few stories I’ve gone back and reread multiple times. I’m sorry that you feel it wasn’t up to your standard, but it is easily my favorite broken Natsu esc fic, and you should feel great about your writing! The first arc is so well constructed, and the subsequent arcs were still well written and interesting to keep up with. That you so much for your time working on this fic and seeing it through, I greatly look forward to your other works!

I think you give yourself too little credit, Author, this was phenominal in every sense of the word from the first chapter till now. Everything is extremely well written, and it's an honest shame you've lost the drive to contiune. But I want to thank you, this story was just as inspiring to me as the canon fairy tail, and has helped me in its own way. I wish you would continue but if not, then thank you for writing something as amazing as this.

This is the last chapter? Man, that sucks. This is one of the best Fairy Tail fanfics I've ever read.
But I appreciate the honesty instead of just abandoning the story without a word.

This is an incredibly solid story. Probably one of the best fairy tail fanfics ever written. Do not downplay yourself for this. Every story has there roughspots or makes some mistakes, but that by no means makes this story bad in any regard. Thank you honestly for writing this tale.

I really like this story I don't think you did bad at all. There were some rough spots but what fanfic doesn't have those even the good ones. If this is where it ends it was still a great ride. Hope see more from you at some point!

I barely leave comments on the Stories I read but this one was always my favorite and I think you're being a little harsh on yourself, I think you did a great job with this. That being sad I think its good that you end it before you write something that you have to force out of yourself, knowing from my own experience the end product never comes close to what you envisioned. Take your time, rest, do other those writing batteries charged up again(No Matter how long this takes) and lastly thank you for this amazing piece of fanfiction? Nah this doesnt sound right. Even if you never quite find it in yourself to write for this story again, it was still a great read and a great time. Don't disrespect the fun I (and everyone else here) had reading it, or all the dedication you put into writing it, by suggesting to me I wasted it!
