Just as he’s making progress with Burke! Knowing what Tyson has been capable of and that for them he’s willing to shift up his MO makes him a very dangerous villain.

Lovely. Glad to see they are reclaiming what was lost and being them again in their mutual passion and love. Gotta be surreal for Castle though, since they now already have a six year old kid, and which usually results in alone time being interrupted. But at least that didn’t happen, this time. Curious as to Lily’s reaction when she learns her parents are back to being a couple.

This was a perfect way for them to reacquaint themselves with the joys and pleasure of each other.

Bless Lily. I don’t know how that girl does it. Managed to steal the show even when Caskett are about to get it on. Liked the build up and snippets of dialogue as they went, especially when he found the engagement ring. Even if he doesn’t know it, he probably needed to hear those things to be sure, ease away any lingering doubts.

Date night! I like. Especially with Kate almost feeling like it’s a first date. Which in a way it is. Since Caksett never really had a proper date before they got together. Also like how Kate got a new dress and shoes in her shopping trip with Lanie so that everything would be fresh and untouched by the six years and her marriage to another man, especially when that other man happened to be one that had previously dated her before they were them and whose relationship with her had contributed to the disaster that was the season 2 finale, resulting in a further delay in them eventually getting together. I think I need a little more closure on her marriage ending with Tom. I don’t know. Just feels too quick to me, even though I’m all for Caskett getting back together, that’s inevitable. just needed more than brief snippets about papers being delivered. But that’s just me. LOL. Maybe you could address that in a one shot or tumblr fic. Anyways sorry for the rambling, excited to see what their date is like.

Yes. That is totally Esposito. He was all buddy buddy with Castle until Caskett happened. Then he’s just a mooch. Only playing at friendship to get free tickets or borrow the Ferrari. So his behavior in this chapter is spot on with his character.

I kind of wished Tom wasn’t such a nice guy and let her go so easier. The angst and emotional conflict would have been juicy drama. LOL. Castle is definitely in denial about what Tyson is capable of but I get what he’s saying. He starts living in fear, then Tyson wins.

I suspected it was going to be Tyson. Makes much more sense than what the show gave us.

Definitely going through the ups and downs of his return. Loved the talk between them at the end of the chapter. Written so well.

Awkward. All those emotions colliding with seeing evidence of a life lived without him. And then finding the things in his old drawer.

I really like the phone conversation Kate had with Dr. Burke. He’s going to be a big help to her and Castle through this difficult time. Though I’m expecting Castle to initially resist the idea of going to therapy.

Bless Lily. That little girl and her heart. Probably the best therapy for returning from the dead, so to speak. Oh and he had a flashback. And Kate, knowing what PTSD, was like acted fast. And... and... *internal squeal* SHE USED THEIR WORD!

Having only seen pictures of him Lily warmed up to Castle far quicker than I expect. And Tom left far sooner than I thought he would. Was thinking that would be lingering longer into the fic. Well, I’m interested in seeing what other assumptions I’ve got wrong. LOL.
