Yeah, this is a lot for Castle to take in. Don’t really blame him for shutting down once she confessed she’s married Tom Demming. Glad Alexis didn’t then spill the beans about Lily and her parentage as that is Kate’s truth to tell.

With this being inspired by Absentia, I figured she’d be married. Tom Demming, eh? Should be interesting when Castle discovers that. Also wasn’t entirely sure about Lily until the last sentence. At first I thought you had her named that to fool readers into thinking Caskett’s kid. Glad I was wrong and that Lily is Castle’s. But oh poor girl she’s probably only ever known Tom as a dad.

Finally reading this. I’m looking forward the drama and angst that with come with Castle's return. Must be insane for Kate.

Wow, great story, the time apart rips at my heart, but a lot more plausible then the show trying to explain his disappearance and their incessant need to have them apart, you understand what the fans needed. My only regret is the loss of sleep I put myself through because I couldn't stop reading. Excellent job I would love for this story to continue.
