ooh, this was a great chapter! what a wonderful, novel idea of playing the game. And a great look into jareth's character a bit more.

I especially liked the sentence about how he created that room according to a poster he saw in her bedroom- it's always bugged me when the Escher room reocurs in fanfics (esp when it's called that. how should the underground know of escher?) then again it works sometimes.

Very great update, I'm impressed with Sarah's answer at the end.

finally got around to reading this, and i'm not disappointed - excellent! I like Jareth as uninterested! Is good...

OOh...the plot, the tension, (and a certain anatomical part) thickens! Another excellent chapter, I like the way you have set these two up: Lonely cabin, horrible snowstorms, plenty of privacy, and our two stubborn competetive favorites about to duke it out over a game of backgammon! We all know how much Jareth loves games...can Sarah beat him again? And what psychological issues might this little backgammon game become a metaphor of? An excellent job, Scattered. You pull their dialogue off well, it is both smooth and lively at the same time. Your characterizations of each are right on, even if I have to give a small frown to the "Sarah's family has all been killed" crutch. I have faith that you will pull it off, however. Can't wait for the next chapter, keep up the great work!

Well I'm glad jareth decided to kick it up a knotch. Now will sarah rise to the occasion? I like the way you compose your conversations and I enjoyed the conclusion to the chapter. This has been one of the better fics' I have read in a great while. Please continue.

I would get a real kick out of Sarah and or Jareth saying "queen/king me," course if Sarah said it the labyrinth might take her seriously, huh? so I quess checkers is out. chess would be good since the most important piece in strategy is the queen...hm...

I'm not feeling so well, so I'm going to keep this short. I loved it. It was funny and sweet, just plain good. Can't wait until this weekend.

I am so hooked into this already. The chemistry and tension bewteen them couldn't be more perfectly articulated and you are so good with description that I can "see" what the inside of the cabin is like. Oh she is in so much trouble...hee hee she doesn't stand a chance! I love it!

I love the way you've got a slow build up of sexual tension offset against their mutual distrust of one another. Have you already worked out what the Labyrinth is up to cause I'm dying to know.
