Reviews for Shall We Dance |

![]() ![]() This is the most excellent PP FF I've ever read. Short, sweet and perfect. I could picture it all including Wickham being dragged away crying like a 2yr old. Now all that's needed is a epilogue, please consider it. Thank you. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Loved this story! Would love a follow up on all the different people. What happens to Georgiana? Anne and Lady Catherine? Wickham?! And most importantly, what's next for our favourite couple? |
![]() ![]() ![]() l have fallen in love with your stories for Pride and Prejudice. |
![]() ![]() ![]() small packet,high entertainment. loved it |
![]() ![]() ![]() Holy shit that was a good story |
![]() ![]() I cannot think of a better reaction to the slight. Well done! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wonderful little story. What a compact world you created. What a long road was travelled, what life changing events occurred - all in the space of one Assembly. Great dialogue, great characters. Just all in all a delightful tale. |
![]() ![]() ![]() A great story. Very funny and sweet. Thank you for sharing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() How sweet! |
![]() ![]() ![]() That "Ooooh…" continued on to the last paragraph where I started beaming at them. I really want some more of this story. I want to know what the conversation they'd have "on the morrow" consisted of. How their betrothal will go. If Darcy will apologise to Mrs. Bennet. Etc. Would you mind terribly doing a continuation of this story? As I said in the first chapter, I really enjoyed this story. You're an amazing writer. Not bad at grammar and spelling either. If you have a beta, well done! You're amazing too. |
![]() ![]() ![]() It speaks volumes for Darcy's character that he wants to help Anne with no thought of any benefit to himself. Another entrance and another laugh. My mind immediately went to Wickham; lo and behold! there he came! For a moment I thought with the description of mother and son or aunt and nephew maybe it was Lady Catherine and the Colonel's older brother. But I almost dismissed it when Elizabeth thought there was something not quite right about him. I wonder at the relationship between Wickham and Lady Catherine. I wondered what Elizabeth's set down was going to be, but John Lucas rendered that unnecessary. Again, it was lovely that Darcy offered to "defend her friend without a second thought." Awww, he sees them as friends as well :D Elizabeth is really wonderful. She was completely taken by surprise that Darcy considered HER his trusted advisor. The last line of this chapter has got to be my favourite in this chapter. It made me go, "Ooooh…" thinking of all the implications. I was so glad I didn't have to wait for the next chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hmmmm… I guessed from the fine clothes and her being around 25 that it must be Anne de Bourgh. When you said endless prattle, I thought "It must be Mr. Collins!" and of course being a parson confirmed it. It was great that Darcy asked, "Miss Bennett, is it too late for me to hide behind your skirts like a toddler?" and her remark, "I am afraid one skirt would hardly be sufficient to hide a man of your statute, Mr. Darcy." I love their repartee. They're perfect for each other. Elizabeth is great for him too, for bringing the best out of him. You were perfect at having Mr. Collins talking much but saying very little. She got herself into that mess :D I love Mary's line, "Lizzy… Do you realise you probably just made Charlotte Lucas the next mistress of Longbourn?" |
![]() ![]() ![]() I properly laughed when Elizabeth started getting jealous of Darcy and Charlotte dancing together. It was her own doing! I love that Jane butt in saying Darcy danced two sets with Lizzy and Georgiana's subsequent surprise. It's very telling that he revealed what he really thought of the Bingley sisters and it's not very surprising to know what Elizabeth's reaction was to that revelation. Another laugh came at the end. Perhaps it wasn't someone from their party. I was only half right. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I love the line when Darcy was socked and said, "We have already danced two sets. With the third set we would be practically engaged, and a fourth set would require grandchildren." Imagine the stories they'd tell their grandchildren. "It all happened in three hours…" I found myself wondering who the newcomers were. My mind immediately landed on Wickham. Then you mentioned Colonel and a goings woman around Lydia's age, so I thought Colonel Forster and his wife. But the reaction puzzled me. And Georgiana… why did she insist on coming when she's so shy and awkward in company. Elizabeth is wonderful, putting Georgiana at ease with her and others. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Things are getting warmer here. She's clever - hiding a curtsey in the middle of a dance. First dance -enemies. Second dance - acquaintances. What would the next dance be? It's nice to know of more people Elizabeth is friends with. I detect a bit of interest on John Lucas' side, but Elizabeth has quashed any thought of that ship now. I'm surprised Darcy let slip something to do with his sister. In such a public place too. Trusted advisor now? I could see the cogs turning when Darcy was thinking about her reply. Was he wearing a frown all that time? Doesn't really matter now though because you ended the chapter with them both laughing. |
