I love your story, I'm disappointed you have stopped updating it. It is truly one of the most entertaining fanfictions I have read. You have created a very novel and consistent depiction of Hermione given the situation you placed her in. I can totally see Hermione evolving the way you lay out if she had not become friends with Harry & Ron 1st year. I really enjoy your reimagining of Hermione. It rings true, as do Harry's reactions to her. I really hope you resume this story as I have enjoyed completing what you have written so far.

Sorry, but the Grangers’ reaction to Harry’s abduction is idiotic. Hearing Hermione’s account, they immediately decide that Sirius had custody and she and Harry pulled a fast one? And they did so without bothering to check with the Dursleys? So Sirius is Harry’s godfather? That and fifty cents will get you a drink from some vending machines. Legally, child custody of an orphan is determined by the courts. In fact, Sirius being Harry’s godfather would be a perfect motive to kidnap him, because most child abduction cases involve someone with a connection to the child who thinks that they are entitled to the child. Also, taking a child who is away from his guardians, and is away from adult supervision is exactly what a kidnapper would do. Were this not a Harry Potter fic, matters would play out as follows: After the Grangers make their assumptions and punish Hermione for "lying", eventually her boyfriend’s guardians contact them regarding their ward When they learn what happened, and that the Grangers didn’t call the police or even check with the guardians, said guardians contact the authorities and make life hell for the Grangers, for instance, by contacting a lawyer/barrister to see about a lawsuit and possible criminal charges.
