Great beginning. Lovely tender and well written

sobbing mess. for a relatively short fic, this pulled all the punches, and really got me. it was powerful and poignant and THE BEST Dramione I've read. and ive read thousands. this could have gone on for 60 chapters and I would never get enough of your story telling. thank you, so much, for sharing this with us.

this was the best chapter, of the millions of fan fiction chapters ive read, that give such a thorough insight into Draco rejecting the Malfoy lineage. that he felt the crushing weight of a millenium of pureblood history. that his personal happiness dimmed in the face of responsibility. and that he was going to chase it anyways. the was a stunning and impactful chapter.

I'm really happy to read a real fic with marriage law ! In the others, Hermione and everybody else are angry but don't do anything against it ! It's great that you made them fight it !

oh man. i read that at 4am and couldnt stop, no matter how much sleep was trying to claim me. it was so beautiful, and like someone said, evoked the same feelings when reading austens persuasion. the last chapter was so satisfying, especially their confessions to each other.

im so happy to still read your writing. i hope theres a big resurgence of inspiration someday.

This was so sweet and lovely. I'm so happy for them. And I just want to say THANK YOU for including characters that aren't apart of the main HP story. I always find it so unlikely that everyone from Hermione's year would end up together. Doesn't anyone know anyone else outside of school? So thank you for including a few OCs. I really liked that. And luckily our two lovebirds get to slowly start to re-learn everything they love about each other. And I think their relationship will be all the better for it. Lovely story. Thank you so much for sharing.

This story reminds me so much of Austen's Persuasion. The fact that they are both RIGHT THERE but there are so many other things that keep them apart. It's like the best kind of slow burn. I love it.

Oh I am SO happy for Draco and Blaise's success! And I'm beyond happy that Lucius and Narcissa were the last two to sign the petition. I love stories that give both of them a redemption arc, because Draco loves his parents and deserves to have them approve of his life.

Oh that tree sounds so beautiful. I would love to see it. The pureblood fascination with lineage and birth has always confused me so much. It seems like such an archaic and completely arbitrary way to live. However, I suppose I can understand it in theory. On the maternal side of my family, everyone always married polish people until my grandmother's generation. She and her sisters went against tradition and married all over races and ethnicities. I think things like tradition have become less popular over the years. Instead of clinging to old traditions, newer generations are more concerned about making their own traditions. Let's hope Draco gets the chance to live the life he truly wants. The line about Draco not being able to imagine Hermione doing anything other than brighten the family tree was so precious. I loved it.

I am SO intrigued by this story. I can't wait to keep reading it.

This was fantasticI love that you've taken something that's often used and always disturbed methe marriage law) and underlined why that's wrong as a reason to bring them together. You've so neatly exposed why there is no romance in it and maintained Hermione's integrity AND still made it a well written delightful romance! Love it and thanks for persevering all those years with it!
