![]() ![]() ![]() What a magnificent story you gifted us Legend of Zelda fans. This is my second time reading it through and it never fails to amaze me how it pulls so much emotion. |
![]() ![]() ![]() 100 out of 10, this made my heart as warm and sweet as a fresh baked cookie and no I'm not crying it's definitely you crying |
![]() ![]() I’ve read through this story a couple times now and each time it never fails to make me feel a roller coaster of emotions like joy, grief, and sympathy. I have a love/hate relationship for those scenes that just stab me in the heart and make me weep and make me love Link and Zelda even more. I loved that we got to see more of the characters (who knew I could adore Impa, Groose, and Misko (just to mention a few) this much?) I absolutely admire you as an author. You really have a gift to move people (aka make us sob and weep with our beloved characters haha). Wonderfully written. So fun to read, and I hope to see more of your stories in the future. |
![]() ![]() ![]() 10/10 would read again |

![]() ![]() I’m dehydrated from crying so thanks for that. It’s often that a fic will emotionally gut me and leave me feeling somehow empty, slow burns especially tend to have that effect. However, it’s a rare work that takes me to that space, and then takes me back from the edge of emptiness and leaves me feeling as though I’ve gained something along the way. For that you have my eternal admiration. This story was a joy (even when it REALLY wasn’t). Your characterizations felt natural and believable and I especially appreciated your elegant use of characters from different games. Furthermore, the way you flushed out more obscure characters such as Misko was suitably fantastic. I also quickly fell in love with your worldbuilding. Your Hyrule stayed true to the one in BOTW but it was also so much more. BOTW gave you a picture of a desolate world and you did a great job turning back the clock and filling that world with life and detail. TLDR: good stuff and thanks for making me cry |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well written, love the way you took details from the game and made them into a whole story. Reading through the *very* slow-burn romance was infuriating which is why I'm glad I found this story now and not when it was being written. All-in-all, 10/10 I didn't cry and you can never prove that I did. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I absolutely loved all of this. Emotions are hard right now, and grief even harder, with how everything is going right now. The end was really rough for me, that slog through all those terrible, terrible things. But it was very potent, and very beautiful, and I hope I can get to the other side of it soon, where Zelda is. Past that, I loved the way you interpreted the characters. How young and genuine and clumsy they are. The side characters also added so much depth, and it really was a love story to the original game, not a revision of it. I love all that care you put into the details, and how real the characters feel. It was a comforting and beautiful ride, thank you so much for taking all the blood, sweat, and tears to write this! You're doing us all a service! |
![]() ![]() ![]() THE BET AHAHAHHAHAHAHABA |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow this is brutal... I'm dying inside but truly it's very, very good, the way you've written it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Such a good chapter! |
![]() ![]() ![]() What a truly fantastic story. Thank you so much for writing this! |
![]() ![]() ![]() It has been years and years since I have read any sort of fanfiction, but I recently finished a second playthrough of BOTW and found myself craving its untold stories. This was such a well-written piece of work, and it honestly made me tear up more than once. You have a way of breathing life into your characters. I'm sure I will be revisiting this story from time to time. Well done, and thank you. |

![]() ![]() ![]() I read this a long time ago. I had been always waiting every Friday night (it was usually night for me) for these chapters to upload, and even then those few years back I had deemed this as my favorite zelinkor zelda in generalfanfiction, ever. maybe even my most favorite fanfictions I've read. And even now, many years later and rereading this, it still stands. the way you write, the way you convey emotions and feelings through your storytelling is so good. it's so amazing and mesmerizing. I've cried a few times during the DOWNFALL arc, but it was due to your amazing writing skills. if you were to make an original book, I would buy it in a heartbeat. you inspire me more and more to write, and you might as well be my favorite writer in the fanfiction department, for the way you also characterize these already-made characters is so good that it feels so rightit feels so accurate to the original characters. especially link. it feels like you're creating your own link and zelda, but yet they are also true to their original works and it fits so well. but no words can describe how much I love this piece of art, it's so good and I am so happy I came back to reread it. it will always hold a special place in my heart and I'll never forget it. |
