I have been trying to figure out what you mean by 'assisted.' Assisted detention etc. You clearly mean attended. I suggest using a dictionary.

Considering that wizards use words like Erumpent, Snidget, Hinkypunk, Murtlap, Niffler, Puffskein, Quaffle, Mimbulus Mimbletonia, Hufflepuff, Gubrathian, and Bubotuber, among other strange things, "Muggle" isn't all that strange a word at all.
