I am really pissed off by your apparent failure to use spell and grammar checking before posting your tale. In particular your relentless misuse of the word ASSIST every time you should be using the word ATTEND is appalling.
BUY A DICTIONARY AND LOOK UP BOTH WORDS MEANINGS. THEN REPLACE EVERY MISUSED assist WITH THE CORRECT WORD PLEASE.
There are numerous other errors so please try to have a friend proofread your script BEFORE posting.

Wow, so a group of individuals set up a society 1,000 years ago and their descendants deserve to continue leading no matter what anyone (or everyone) else thinks. My God, am I glad that the world’s democracies were set up back when people seem to be able to think past ‘this is what I want, because it is best for me’.

Saw the Author Notes say that it was going to be updated weekly and got excited for this great story.

I've got to start looking at the dates before I start reading a story, I can't tell you how disappointed I was when I saw it hadn't been updated since 2017!

Do you never do any basic research?
In the UK (of Great Britain & Northern Ireland) schooling is free up to age 18, apart from the exclusive private schools such as Eton or Harrow.
(Ironically these private schools are known as 'public' schools). I suspect, but do not definitively know, that being a few hundred years old, and thus predating the Victorian era education reforms which abolished child labour, that the 'public' refers to the distinction from the private home schooling by governesses and tutors practised by the elites.
Due to the NHS, established 1948, health is paid for by a National Insurance Tax, levied upon all workers, and is free at the point of use for all citizens. There are also private Health options of both Doctors and hospital services but my point is that no child could be denied schooling or health care due to cost. (Especially for ER - Casualty services.)

I like where this is going. And don't worry about the minor spelling and misusage of words, its not that bad, its overall well written, just needs some editing.
