The only thing I can say for this story, is that I hope first and second years go rather quickly,and maybe even third, most stories I have read where they start pre hogwarts years or first year start, quickly die due to lack of interest for the author because they feel like they cannot quickly go through the first three years, and then onto the true "meat" if you will of the hogwarts years which for me are years four, five and six.

Also, as much as I would like to see someone else solcing some of the problems, I think Harry should at least fight the basalisk himself for the simple reason of, once bitten and fox cries into him, he would be biologically immune to not only basalisk venom in the future, but almost all venom from any deadly snake, and maybe even spiders, because his body would naturally be producing extremely strong antibodies for the poisons and toxins, though this would have the after effect of making his blood terrifyingly toxic to anyone who uses it in transfusions or the like.
