Amazing. As soon as the judicial system already in place starts working, all this mess starts dissolving. Makes one wonder why canon!Harry even fought for that broken system which was still run by corrupt and criminal people after supposedly winning the first blood war.

Good story

This has been a really good chapter. IO like seeing Harry and Sirius and Remus stand up to Dumbles. It builds back bone in all of them and should help Harry better face the ugly one!

Why DID Burbage leave out Snape? He's a murderous terrorist, he's a traitor, he's a fraud, and he's a shit teacher, but as a head of house he's great. Whenever one of his snakes gets into trouble (mostly Malfoy in a trouble he brought upon himself) he immediately rushes in, saves them from suffering the consequences of their own actions, and punishes the victim.

Potions. If there's one subject Molly could teach Harry it's potions. It's the old potions queen cliché, but honestly, can she be worse than the fucking death eater saboteur who pretends to teach it at Hogwarts? Even if she didn't brew the love potions she used as a teenager herself, and even if she didn't use them on Arthur, which AFAIK she never says, it's easily possible that she's brewing a plethora of household and easy medical potions for her brood. They're bound to be cheaper than bought potions. As bad as the Weasels are with money, it's common sense to save a bit there, so they can again afford to waste a hundred Galleons on a couple taxis from Ottery St. Catchpole to Inner City London. Or a month long holiday in Egypt.

It's nice that Sirius doesn't keep Harry in the dark about everything. That, if he doesn't tell, it's because he doesn't know himself.

What? Walburga Black liked the Umbridge family? Pureblood Orford Umbridge married muggle Ellen Cracknell. He's a blood traitor! Walburga's portrait calls the WEASELS blood traitors and both parents are pureblood; whatever faults Septimus may have had, pureblood Cedrella Black married him, and the Prewetts are purebloods, too; so it's not only the current generation.

AND... Remus has to make up his absence during the previous school year. Harry needed a trustworthy adult on his side urgently. Remus could have filled that need. He didn't. So now he has to prove to Harry that he can be trustworthy in the first place. This teaching gig can do that.

I must say that that last chapter was exciting and fulfilling! I also got a kick out of the the girls and Harry! Its been years since I have been reading your stories and I'm glad to have found your name again, it got lost on one of those blasted updates done by fan fiction or windows or mozilla...they drive me crazy especially when they hit your computer when you can not stop them...

Sirius didn't do what was needed so Molly was allowed to act like a bitch. Lousy reasoning. Sirius spent 12 years in Azkaban under dementors, two years on the run while half-starved and in poor physical health; he was then locked up in a dismal house where his bad memories came back to torment him. Gee, wonder why he didn't do what she was ordering him to do. (sarcasm). Molly was lucky he didn't lose it and commit mass murder. Other than that an enjoyable story. Read it through without stopping, even to review. Thanks

I like focs where Sirius stops letting everyone walk all over him in his own home.
That’s another reason why OotP is my least favorite HP book and there are many 5th year fics I don’t like.
